General Discussion / Re: The Pot Belly Stove

Just wanted to update everyone who hasn't heard from me.....

We had MAJOR flooding in Norfolk. This was the worst flooding I have seen in my life. Our lower levels of my house flooded and significant damage was done to our yard, pier and garage.

Ill be back post and monitoring things soon

Goodness, Martin. Hope you're alright. What in the heck is up with this storm???

The Weather Channel will preempt its Friday night movie in NY, NJ, CT and PA. http://bit.ly/2B23dZ

I'm not surprised they would do that, it makes sense, this Nor'Easter is more important than seeing "Misery" which you can see on practically any movie channel you wanted to anyway. (lol looks like a Facebook member isn't happy with NBC being over management of TWC either.  :P)

I'd rather watch the coverage than the movie anyways...

Stupid weather.com still has their "Misery" banner up. <_< Idiots.

TWC and all of its :censored: movies is dumb IMO.

Also, apparently on First Outlook it was Adam Berg and Scott Williams

Poor Adam Berg seems to be all over the place. IMO, he's good enough to have a set time/show. (But does being a "good" OCM have anything to do with where/when you work?)

Also, thank you for the crystal-clear explanation on the "Atlantic Assault" Patrick!

I don't want to sound dumb, but is this so-called "Atlantic Assault" like a tropical system/hurricane of its own? :dunno: Or is it just the remnants of Ida doing damage?

I miss the new theme already. :( :P Oddly enough, there are bugs still present on the old theme. I guess this upgrade had a theme option? :dunno:

Since the upgrade I have been able to see that members have been warned (the "watched" indicator displays under their name). Pretty sure this is a bug as I wouldn't think people would want everyone to know that they were warned.

It would be nice to know if people are banned though.

Question:

In my profile, my username shows up. However, I do not see anyone else's usernames in their profiles. Is this something that only I can see, or is there a way I can remove it? :dunno:

While Ida is certainly a surprise to many people as it's coming in November, it's not going to be a huge disaster.  In fact, it's no longer a hurricane, so a full-blown storm alert is not needed.  I'm glad that TWC is doing sort of a "lite storm alert" mode here.

IMO, TWC doesn't need any type of Storm Alert mode at all, light or full-blown.

:o

Ray Stagich made on an appearance on YWT this morning!

So is this a new shift for him? Because Martin and Ana also said he would be on TWC Radio.

Before you all go and say "omg, something's going through the logo," I fully intend to look at that in the upcoming weeks and will modify it so it's uniform and looks pretty. But as always, with any other forum upgrade, I highly recommend clearing your cache and cookies for the site.

What logo? :dunno: The TWCT logo? I don't see a problem with it (except that it is on a [non] Hurricane Ida Storm Alert.)

Wow...I never thought Ida would be doing something like this. How ironic that the tropics begin stirring up when less than a month remains in the Hurricane Season.

Everything Else TWC / Ray Leaving Sunrise Weather?

No, he seemed pretty upset at the end of the last segment. I can upload it, if you want.

Sure. I'd like to see it. :)

Everything Else TWC / Ray Leaving Sunrise Weather?

:hmm:

Ray seemed a little upset during the last segment as well, and said "goodbye" in a way that he'd never come back.

Could we think positive and assume that Ray has been promoted to a better shift? :dunno: I think if he was leaving, the Lower Third should say "TWC will miss you."

(But I don't know if that's true if he was upset.)
