So...this Winter Weather Advisory may be true after all. This is truly unbelievable. Luckily, however, the snow should stop before tonight so people can go to Christmas Eve services and Santa can safely land his sleigh.

EDIT: Blowing snow right now. (1:22 PM CST)...this is UNBELIEVABLE!!!
ANOTHER EDIT: More blowing snow since 4:00 PM CST!!!

THURSDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WORTH HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM
9 AM TO 4 PM CST THURSDAY.

A POWERFUL WINTER STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE THROUGH NORTH TEXAS
DURING THE OVERNIGHT AND INTO THURSDAY MORNING. AREAS OF LIGHT TO
MODERATE SNOW ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP THURSDAY MORNING ACROSS MUCH
OF NORTH TEXAS...ALTHOUGH NEAR SURFACE AND GROUND TEMPERATURES
WILL LIKELY REMAIN AT OR SLIGHTLY ABOVE FREEZING. STRONG NORTHWEST
WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WILL CAUSE BLOWING SNOW WHICH WILL REDUCE
VISIBILITIES TO LESS THAN 1 MILE AT TIMES IN THE ADVISORY AREA.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF WINTER
PRECIPITATION MAY CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
SLIPPERY ROADS AND PLAN ON SOME TRAVEL DELAYS.

So we're going from 70 degrees to this. I'll believe it only when I see it.

Andy...have you seen a traffic light where a line flashes at you from within the red light when it's on?  That's a traffic camera looking for people running the red light as I've seen them in places, so don't think that all traffic cameras are big.

No, I haven't seen that Patrick. But I have seen a big camera that is on a separate post from the traffic light flash when someone ran the red light.

Yah, 8AM isn't a good time. In addition to Molly's comment, most people in the eastern time zone would be off to work already by that hour, and the mountain/pacific time zones would just be waking up.

So it would be perfect for those who live in the central time zone!

But I don't wake up until 7:30 anyways, so I won't be participating.
