Oh and Andy, did you read Martin's topic on the TWC HD sub-board. :P

What sub-board? :dunno:  Is there something I'm missing here?

We all know that airplanes can take a person up into the sky, but apparently this person had something else in mind.

This is Not How You're Supposed to Fly Out of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport
Be sure to check out the police report link on this site.

I know the video is kind of short, but I thought something this wacky was worth sharing. The ironic thing is that one "motto" in Texas is "Drive Friendly - The Texas Way." I guess this is what they mean by friendly? :dunno: :whistling2:

I can't wait to view the HD STAR hopefully as soon as this weekend once my HDTV cable is switched out for a SD one since my HDTV is messed up.

Um, it's not out yet... ;)

That's really awesome! :thrilled: Not that Allan Jackson's are bad, but I think it will be neat to have Jim narrate.

Wow Zach! :thrilled: That was ALL made in PowerPoint 2010??? :faint: Microsoft has really seemed to update...those emulations look very much like the real thing. I don't think I could do that in PowerPoint 2003. :(

Or maybe it's because the average person doesn't notice when the playlist changes, or if it lasts for one month or two.
Actually they do, I've gotten many comments and messages for casual TWC viewers/average TWC viewers who like the music asking about the next playlist and when they would air it.

Hmm, I'm surprised. I didn't think average viewers really knew what a "playlist" was (not to call them stupid or anything). If a song is not overplayed and many different ones are used, the average viewer may have no idea that there is certain music for a certain month.

So how long has the current playlist been out? :dunno:

The TU music this year is the best since the HD relaunch IMO.

Speaking of which, the HD studio's first appearance has its 2nd anniversary is today.
One of TWC's best months, too. :hmm:

Yeah, I kind of miss the "era of HD relaunch" for the shows. Now everything seems to be "in place" and constantly changing (like I don't think "desk positions" matter anymore for any show). :(

I still have Office 2003 at home, too. Office 2007 is installed at my school, and it is VERY CONFUSING!  I trust that Office 2010 is much better. :) I wonder if the transition from 2003 to 2010 would be overwhelming...

It would be really cool if they could broadcast something like this simultaneously for every city, but I think that's impossible. This is really cool, though. The segment is very information-filled. :D

Hurricane Central / Re: Hurricane Central 2010
« on: June 01, 2010, 10:45:12 PM »
This thread is only going to be used for general discussion about the 2010 hurricane season.  We'll do individual topics for each storm as mentioned in Martin's post about the new system here.
Yes. Any organized storms or potential ones will have their own discussion. Including: Invests, subtropical storms, tropical storms and of course hurricanes.

Sorry for a slight bumpb, but is this something new? :dunno: I thought we always talked about storms in the general "Hurricane Central" thread.

Also, does anyone have a video of the new tropical update opener? :dunno: I'm not sure I like that "parallelogram."

TWC's New Tropical Update Intro June 1, 2010

Thanks for th video! :D Yeah, the opener is almost too dramatic. But, after seeing the whole thing, the parallelogram is almost meant to be like a boat on the rough water. It's kind of cool.
