I'm confused. So the 16% LDL that is used on long-form is now ONLY being used on long-form? What about the LDA L-Bar type concept? And how does the LDA make the screen 16:9?

1. Yep, i only saw it on Long form today.

2. the L-Bar as far as i've seen was on DP today

3. TWC doesn't care about 16:9 anymore it seems those days are over.

Thanks for clarifying! Although this upsets me because I don't see why a local LDL (for the IS2) and a National LDA need to be used at the same time. Who cares about the weather in another city thousands of miles away from you?

I wonder what the chances are for this storm to impact the Jersey Shore or the NYC metro, provided that the storm intensifies into a hurricane.

The storm already is a hurricane. But you bring up a good point. When was the last time a hurricane hit your area, Molly?

TWC has slightly updated its online hurricane graphics! They've also added a "tropical cyclones map." Cool! Are these changes also in effect on-air?

It looks like Danielle will have time and room to really become something big here. I guess the question is: will she hit the US? Because when was the last time a hurricane hit the eastern coast (like around North Carolina)? Was it Isabel in 2003?

I'm going to be as nice as I possibly can here, but would people please, please STOP talking about Cantore being laid off or fired. I understand that layoffs are happening a lot lately, but Jim is an extremely popular face of TWC, maybe even THE face of TWC. I don't think he will ever be fired. Now I could be completely wrong, but that's just what I think. He's got his own show. He gets really excited about weather like TWC likes to see in OCMs. He's always traveling places to do field reports. I don't think we'll see Jim leave TWC until he retires.

It seems like there's a lot of wind shear this year with these storms, preventing them from strengthening any further. I guess now it's hard to tell where Danielle is going to go and how strong the storm will be.

TWC jumped the shark with the rock and soundtrack music, and FAAF.

...which I luckily found out from Mike that it has been permanently cancelled. At least that's a step in the right direction.

IMO, Steph and Mike should be last since they are a lot newer than the rest. They both came to TWC around 2003.

Well he has Adam listed too so that would automatically make him last on the list since he joined back in 2005.

Yeah, hasn't Jen been around for quite awhile? I think Adam is definetely below her.
