Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion
« on: September 20, 2010, 10:39:22 PM »
Are these production tracks available for use? I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with this list and what is currently being discussed. Like what does VH 33.0 mean?
It's the CD number, VideoHelper has put out numerous production music CDs....the 33 means it is disc #33, etc..

Thanks for the clarification. Now can someone identify VH 33.0 #48. I KNOW this is used on TWC somewhere; isn't it the new WN opener music?

Another fish?

Another decent wave exiting the African coast too!

Did somebody build a huge brick wall out in the Central Atlantic and were not aware of it?  :P

Honestly, that's also how I'm feeling with all these storms.

Local Forecast / Re: Weather Warning Question
« on: September 19, 2010, 08:34:03 PM »
IMO, all warnings need to have the Red LDL for consistency.

Also (although I saw it on a few YouTube videos), I didn't think a "watch" scroll was ever used because the Weather Bulletin on the IS took care of that.

I'm all for newer designs. The Euro is much prettier than US currency designs.

Good connection to the Euro, Tyler...I was about to say that some of the designs reminded me of the Euro.

Has anybody heard about this?

Amazing New Designs For The Dollar Bill
http://news.yahoo.com/s/huffpost/721294

Wow! :o This is interesting. I highly doubt this will happen (especially since the "dollar" is known to be green), but some of the designs are pretty neat.

What's with Weather Center playing Usher's "OMG" lately...? this has been the 2nd time I've heard it.

I am so sick of hearing that song now.  <_<

Is that production music? How does that fit with TWC?

Hurricane Central / Re: Hurricane Central 2010

The "activity" level of Hurricane Season seems so hard to describe. Some people might say "Oh yeah, I told you so...the 2010 Hurricane Season has been very active" because there have been so many hurricanes while others state that since no major hurricanes have made a direct hit on the US, the season hasn't been "active."

What I think we can't do is compare this Hurricane Season to that of 2005 (yet, anyways) like people were doing at the start.

I for one would like to see EE return at 10pm. Or maybe Weather Center: Late Edition or Weather Center Overnight.

Or maybe WCWC (Weather Center West Coast). :P

Wait, so TWC is planning to change the name "Weather Center" to something else??? Like Al said, I thought EE was canned to make WC a big thing/name, and now they want to can that all together too.

This one is STRONG! :thrilled: A Category 5 hurricane has winds >155 mph; the NHC predicts Igor to have winds as high as 155 mph, but that could easily mean that it could be a Cat 5 with a difference of only 1 mph! Maybe it's a good thing (for the US anyways...not sure about Bermuda) that Igor will turn north like Danielle.

P.S. Why in the world are all of the major hurricanes doing the northward turn this year? It's starting to become a trend.

IntelliStar 2 Discussion / Re: IntelliStar 2 Videos!
« on: September 12, 2010, 09:43:05 PM »
As for the questions... yes as previously mentioned this set of icons is the set that's going to be used on the IntelliStar 2. And the flavors do depend on if what version of the hourly and text forecasts are shown. The idea was to have a bigger variety of products.

Thank you for answering these questions, Tyler! :)

And thank you very much for posting a video of the IS 2 in your city, Christina! :thrilled: It's definetely nice to see a video of it in action in another part of the country.

From the current projected paths, I am seeing another Danielle or Earl. It's like deja vu.
