The server has been pretty unstable lately. There are often connection problems.

It's always like that. ;) You've just gotta be patient at times.

Hurricane Central / Re: Tropical Storm Matthew

Yeah, I think Matthew went way too far south to make its sharpward turn and have any affect on the US. Like Patrick said, looks like this storm is almost done. :(

I think this is a very good schedule...especially the weekday.  5-7PM I would think that most people would get their weather on their local newcasts, so why bother with live programming then?

Based on how news-oriented TWC has become (WUWA, of course), I'm surprised TWC hasn't tried competing with the local newscasts. I guess people want LOCAL news instead of national, and maybe NBC can't compete with itself.

Hurricane Central / Re: Hurricane Lisa [CAT 1]
« on: September 24, 2010, 07:19:15 PM »
OK guys, come on, we really need to rename this thread Hurricane Lisa and keep it active...just kidding. :P

After a sad beginning, Lisa is surprisngly now a hurricane with maximum sustained winds at 75 mph. However, it will probably have no affect on any land, certainly not the US.

Hurricane Central / Re: Tropical Storm Matthew

UPDATE: As of the 5 PM EDT projected paths, Matthew will not only be dying out by the new week, it will also NO LONGER be making the sharp turn northward. The model tracks on weather.com have some crazy paths for Matthew; I think each track has a completely different track for this storm. However, except for the [not likely] chance that Matthew will make a 180 degree turn back out to the Caribbean, the US needs no longer to worry about Matthew.

OK, from what Zach and Mike said, "Day Planner" from 2 PM to 5 PM is just not going to work out. :nono: They need to have that segment be PM Edition. Once again, TWC is being dumb, but I guess the two-hour longform slot is alright for the average viewer (although I tend to watch TWC during that time. <_<)

My gosh I HATE allergies!! This weather is killing me

Sorry to hear that Martin. :( Normally allergies are spring thing, though. Maybe they come during that "transition season" from hot to cold or vice versa. :hmm:

It's definitely not fall here...90+ but maybe some lower 80s by this weekend. :D

As of now, it looks like folks in Florida need to keep a close eye on Tropical Storm Matthew. The model tracks on weather.com show no turn, but NHC's projected path is showing a sharp turn that gives Matthew time and room to strengthen over the Gulf of Mexico if conditions permit and possibly affect the US. :o

I'm 5'7".
And I've got a gold fish.
You have goldfish?! Mmmmm How tall is Jim anyway?

You guys. :P

Wouldn't Adam be the shortest?

Let's see Adam and Paul next to each other.

I guess no one knew that today is the first day of fall. :P It's getting cold out here... unusual for a lady like me who is used to hot weather. Happy Fall everyone :)

Sooo... we should be heading to the Stove, right? I'll be right over there when I get to class.

What the :censored: is going on here??? Why does my calendar say the first day of fall is tomorrow?

I just looked online...fall doesn't officially start until 11:09 ET.

Also, I hear the moon is a must-see tonight. One problem here: it's cloudy. <_<

Lisa's path over the past couple of days is making me laugh...she's going to make a big circle.

And, as of now, according to the NHC's projected path, Lisa won't be anywhere near hurricane status for the next five days...in fact, she is going to die off.

Day planner @1pm is from the SD studio.
SD studio?  the SD studio is currently all office space and where the DMC is

I think he means the expert desk that is in the old studio. They still report from there. ;)

Both Paul and Jim are the only tall guys on TWC. I know Paul is 6 foot 5. I'm not sure about Jim.

As for me, nope. I am short. I'm 5'4 (though I'm pretty sure I grew an inch...)

Ana, I think you used the name "Jim" instead of another OCM. :P

Anyone know on Video Helper which one is the Current Weather Center intro music?

I don't, sorry. I would love to know if it was, though.
