However, for some reason I'm not sure about, the dates were changed a couple of years ago.
We are in "standard" time for less time now (but only for about a couple of weeks...pointless, I know).

Same here. Our first 30-degrees since the spring is expected tonight.

And, to comment on what Kyle said about Daylight Savings Time, I'm not looking forward to the earlier darkness. That extra hour is always nice, although I usually don't use it to sleep.

Ugh, doesn't that suck when your favorite channel is taken off the channel line-up.
I'm so glad I don't have Time Warner anymore...they took away a whole 
lot of channels off their line-up.

It's kind of annoying how TWC isn't as organized with its playlists anymore. I know it's because they have more important things to worry about, but the old "drill" was nice. Once a new month rolled around, a new playlist started, this would be known as the "[Month] Playlist," and a new playlist started every single month. Now, playlists might be used for two months in a row and new ones don't necessarily start when the new month starts.

Yesterday morning was the first time since last winter/early spring that temperatures dropped into the 40s. To make things even more dramatic, temperatures were in the lower-40s both yesterday morning and this morning. Here is a report from yesterday:
TEMPERATURE REPORT FOR FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2010
MORNING LOW: 42 (6:01am) DAYTIME HIGH: 70 (3:08pm) NORMAL LOW: 51 (Departure: -9) NORMAL HIGH: 73 (Departure: -3)

CAUTION! FALL MIGHT TURN UGLY THIS WEEK.
