Will Satellite viewers see the LOCAL squeezebar? I have cable, but I was just wondering.
Satellite subscribers and Im assuming XL/4000/Jr viewers see the national one that was seen during the beta test

That makes sense, considering they already see the national LDL.  It's a shame, though.

I like the national LDL WAY better in the thread you posted about a week ago. This one just looks...bleh.

Stop looking at the models and just look out the window.
uh yeah, we're supposed to get MORE wintry weather next week. Freezing rain, sleet, snow, arctic temperatures...

Maybe I should move to Florida. :P

Here are some pictures of the Dallas white-out conditions Friday, February 4. What you're looking at is four inches of snow from Friday over about an inch of ice from Tuesday.

I'm guessing "Primed for Excitement" will air starting Monday, although who knows because there will be yet another winter storm next week. Maybe TWC should just wait until April to do this stupid thing.

Primed For Excitement Local On The 8's TV :30 Second Spot

Aired this morning during F1rst Outlook's 4:16am commercial break

OK, that looks NOTHING like the squeezeback that was in this thread. Wonder how the finished product is going to look; guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Today on WC they showed a flashback of all three of Jim's thundersnow incidents, but on the second one they got the year wrong. It happened in 2008, but the L3rd said 1998. Don't think they had the blue bar of death and HD lower thirds that long ago. :P

This is definetely worth posing. Tuesday, February 1, 2011 was a fantastic day, although most of us were probably asleep and did not see the big transition from warm to arctic. :brr:

First, reports of THUNDERSNOW in Downtown Dallas early Tuesday morning:

Next, have you ever wondered how many different weather conditions you can have in a day? Well, check below, and you may get an idea. According to the NWS, ALL of these weather conditions were recorded in Dallas sometime on Tuesday:

Quote from: The National Weather Service

THE FOLLOWING WEATHER WAS RECORDED ON TUESDAY, FEB. 1.
 THUNDERSTORM
 MIXED PRECIP
 HEAVY RAIN
 LIGHT RAIN
 LT FREEZING RAIN
 SNOW
 LIGHT SNOW
 SLEET
 FOG
 HAZE
 BLOWING SNOW

And, to show the changing conditions, here are hourly reports (courtesy of TWC) from Tuesday morning:

FINALLY...Texas is a big state (as we all probably know :P). So with a big state means a big range in temperatures:

FACT:
Amarillo's highest temperature on Tuesday was 10°F.
Brownsville's highest temperature on Tuesday was 72°F.
That's a 62° difference in high temperatures for the state!!!

Now that the storm is ending, "Primed for Excitement" will most likely premiere tomorrow

I don't know...there is still a lot of aftermath to deal with. I think TWC should continue the extended coverage throughout the week and then start "Primed for Excitement" next week.
There is also a new storm forming around Texas and the Gulf that will bring snow/ice to some areas far south as this past storm did.

Yeah, more snow to an already iced-out Dallas. <_< Houston is also supposed to get some wintry precip too...not normal for them.

We're going to be out of school for three consecutive days due to this storm...can't remember the last time that happened. I am SICK of this thing and want to cry because temperatures will be below freezing through the weekend, and more snow is expected on Friday and then next week too. :furious:
