You mean the Marine Forecast? Or is there something else that I'm not aware of? I get the Marine Forecast where I am, so if there's something that involves the coast, I may be able to get it.

Do you mind posting a picture or video of that? I'd like to see how it looks on the IS2. Thanks. :)

Nick, if you don't mind me asking, do you live in North Dallas or South Dallas? Because I find it interesting how on the local observations map on the IS2 video you posted doesn't have Dallas centered and shows cities only to the north of Dallas and Fort Worth.
It might have to do with service area as well

Possibly. It just seems like an error, though. Every other IS2 video I am watching seems to have the "main city" centered within the observations map.

Is the IS2 so "area-sensitive" that it can show different cities on the maps for different areas in a specific city (i.e. north and south)?

The summer solstice will arrive on June 21 at 1:16 PM EDT, so the first day of summer is officially tomorrow. B)
I can already hear some of you thinking, "What are you talking about?  It's already been feeling like summer for weeks!" :P

Yes, especially with triple-digits for the past week.

I don't know how "new" these are (if at all), but I remember seeing a lot of these warnings back in May when we had our severe thunderstorms.

Maybe I missed a lot of action last night, because I haven't encountered any of them.

It's all been cleaned up. ;)

Thanks to the administrators for working to keep this forum as spam-free as possible!

Just imagine my disappointment, though, when I saw so many new posts... just to realize that they were all worthless.  :sos:
Something in particular about this latest round is interesting. The accounts were deleted making it really hard for me to remove the posts. Rather than just remove the account and all the posts at once I have to remove each individually. Please report anything I missed. Thanks guys :)

I didn't think you could delete your own account...I wonder how they did this.

And thank you, Martin and Patrick, for taking care of this. I hope we didn't abuse the "report a post" function.

I've already sent a couple of reports to the admins about this. Unfortunately, our administration team isn't active on the forums 24/7, and I certainly don't expect them to be. However, then sometimes we will have to deal with what is going on tonight. For some reason, the board is telling me that the profile of the member with Chinese/Japanese writing as his title doesn't exist.

So you two spammers, are you going to post here now? We're on to you. :club:

Unfortunately, TWC will likely never, ever go back to the TWC we all knew and loved. Had the station had the chance to do such a thing, I believe it would have happened a long time ago.

Looks like it's going to be rather cool in Chicago tomorrow. A high of around 65° is being predicted, but the average high for this time of year is 79°. And can you believe it was in the upper 90s for a few days this past week?

A complete contrast to the constant above-average temperatures in the South...

Well, I guess this is no surprise. I really have nothing else to say on the subject. :hmm:

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Carl Parker Now Dr. Forbes' Right Hand Man
« on: June 04, 2011, 04:54:06 PM »
If this is the case, why hasn't Forbes taken a much needed vacation? I'm concerned that man is gonna land himself in the hospital. He hasn't had a day off since February.
He has something called a contract, which spells out when he needs to be on air, and when he can take his vacation.

Tyler is right. He's always needed because of the recent severe weather outbreaks, and he may be needed a lot more because of hurricane season and stuff. When will he have a day off? no one knows.

Obviously Dr. Forbes can't take a vacation during the peak of the severe weather season!!! ;) Like Tyler said, he has a contract, and I think he knows when TWC wants him and why they have been using him so much. I don't think he is too overwhelmed.

One show that I would often watch on TWC was Tornado Road. It's probably considered one of the Travel Channel-related ones, but at least it had something to do with weather.

IMO, Peter Lik is the one that really needs to go.
