As many of you have probably seen, NOAA has released its outlook for the winter of 2011-2012. In contrast to what the Farmer's Almanac predicted, this outlook clearly displays a La Niña winter for the south.

Yeah, I think she named her daughter after Mick Jagger...which I think it's quite creative! I have a feeling her little girl might grow up to be a fan of him. I'm pretty sure!

Personally, I think Jagger should be a name for a guy, but whatever.

Is YouTube being extremely slow for anyone else today? For me, videos aren't even loading, and if they do load they play for about 10 seconds before getting stuck indefinitely. Recently, YouTube changed their interface (again...), and it seems harder to seek through videos now. Why is it that all of their changes go in the wrong direction?

Very nice, app! I like their choice of icons, too. I personally think the use of any standard TWC icon set would look absolutely horrid.

**WITH MY RELOCATION TO NORMAN, I WILL NOW BE GIVING WEATHER UPDATES FOR THE OKLAHOMA CITY AND NORMAN AREAS IN THIS THREAD**
As has happened for most of the south, temperatures plummeted nearly 20 degrees in the OKC and Norman areas earlier this week. With skies remaning clear, a FREEZE WARNING has been issued by the National Weather Service, effective from 1 AM until 9 AM Thursday. This is a little early for a freeze; the average first freeze occurs around November 7.

Would any of our helpful sources of information (i.e. Martin, Tyler, Jesse) know what the deal with the massive outages of IS2s is? I can't really imagine all of them disappearing coincidentally like this. Obviously there has to be some reason, and it would be nice if we could know so that speculations causing conflicts like the one above can be eliminated.

Great pictures, Martin! Do you plan to stay the entire time, and will different meteorologists from TWC be coming on different days?

Also, I'm guessing the meteorologists at the conference are obviously not doing live programming, so we must have a lot of fill-ins this week.

Ironically, as Martin and Curt say hello, I'll be gone the weekend after next, as I will be heading down to Minneapolis for the weekend before the notorious Northern Plain winter renders any travel impossible (that might be a slight exaggeration). Anyone got any ideas of what to see down there besides the Mall of America?

I know this is random, but I find it funny how you're able to say you're heading down to Minneapolis. For me, it would be WAY UP.

Also, remember I said I was failing my exams? Well, my sociology professor gave a HUGE curve. Huge, as in 30 points, so now my 58 on the sociology midterm has gone up to an 88. 

Congratuations, Vic! Hopefully this should relieve some of your stress.
