For some reason it lists Verizon FiOS as my ISP, but don't be fooled, this is only DSL service from Verizon.

So, looking back at my previous emulations, I've been improving them slowly, but they aren't the best. So, I decided to completely scrap my previous emulations and remake it from scratch. I think this new emulation looks pretty real, but I'll leave it to you guys to judge that

I've seen a fair amount of them showing up on eBay lately. They either have no hard drive or all the drives were wiped before they got put up for sale. While i've heard it and it is definitely not new, the video cc17926, and the video weather witness just posted were not it, the alternate winter storm coverage loop theme that TWC Kelby posted is what I heard, and to put it blatantly, its not new, just new to me. But I've heard almost every LOT8's song since the 2013 update. Except for that one. I even did a check list through the current list of songs on youtube and it wasn't in there.

I've never actually heard the alternate winter coverage music myself before. I only found it because it was a recent upload on that guy's channel. Either way, happy to help

Are the random scenic backgrounds in the LOT8's a thing of the past now?  All I am seeing are ads for the various programs and longform shows (and occasionally a sponsor ad).  The first day of winter is Monday but I have to wonder if they will utilize the winter scenes from last year or just keep running the advertising backgrounds.

They did not use any scenic backgrounds on the first day of Hanukkah, except for the Lot18 during the overnight longform; none the following programming day.  I wonder if they will skip Christmas and New Year's also...

On another note, I am glad they brought back Christmas music.  That was the first change made to the LF music since last January when they added one additional song to the generic LF lineup.

For a few LFs today they had the first day of winter special graphics going around 9 AM EST, but it didn't last for long. They were gone around 10 AM.

Just found this randomly surfing YouTube videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCgPGb4LqMw  Is this a new beta run of the Local Forecast? Because if it is, it looks and sounds really bad.

If I'm not mistaken, that's a video off of weather.com and not a real IntelliStar. That's one of the LF videos automatically rendered and uploaded to weather.com. The big giveaway is the Wunderground radar used on screen. Those videos also use storm alert music every time there's one small alert. The whole video looks like it uses a slightly edited copy of what we saw in the WATT concept videos. These used to be linked on the forecast page but I can't find them anymore. I'll link to it later if I can find the link.

Back at the beginning of the month the Allentown IntelliStar 1 I was recording was finally replaced. I managed to tune in at the right time and I caught the very first LFs after the LDL first showed over national.

What I find amazing is the fact that an LF ran without anything more than the CC and radar data. Normally the IntelliStar 2 Jr. wouldn't even output the LF if that was the only data available.

Anyone else seeing this new forecast map on their IS2?

No sight of this on my IS2, or a few others I had friends check. Maybe it's a beta test of the maps?
