Hurricane Central / Re: Subtropical Storm Sean

Yeah, NHC is down for me as well. The only way I've been able to view the updates is by going to a cached version of the webpage.

EDIT: New advisory just out. Sean is now classified as a tropical storm. Winds remain at 45 mph.

It is currently 19 degrees right now in the Grand Cities, with a wind chill hovering around 9 or 10 degrees. More cold air expected in the short term, with highs possibly not making it to 40.

General Discussion / Re: 5.6m Oklahoma Earthquake

Outrageous. Why can't I get an earthquake for once?

Did you not feel the one that struck the east coast earlier this year? :dunno:  All I can say is that I hope the aftershocks stop soon.  This is getting to be a little bit much.  Since I have now officially "felt" an earthquake, I am good. :P
I did, but it was pathetic. I want an earthquake that is strong enough to keep me on my knees but not strong enough to cause any considerable damage. (I do want the curio cabinet in my dining room destroyed though - it is an absolutely eyesore).

That's some very specific criteria.  Anyway, today has been filled with too much action in Oklahoma.  Tornadoes and earthquakes on the same day.  Mother Nature must not like the state. :P

With all due respect, history says Mother Nature never really cared for Oklahoma in the first place. :P

Nice video! Keep up the great work!

On an unrelated note, big news today from Los Angeles: Conrad Murray has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in a case regarding the death of Micheal Jackson.

Seattle. So I have instant access to Canada if things get weird here.

A winter with temperatures in the -40s and a total snowfall around 6 feet, or a winter with temperatures in the 20s and 30s, and maybe 5 or 6 inches of snow?

Snow chances gone here in Grand Forks. Regardless, still a couple of advisories active at the moment.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for possible fire conditions across the region.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for wind gusts up to 45-50 mph in some places.

Current temperature is 40. Wind chills are hovering around the low 30s to the upper 20s.

From a perspective standpoint, since Cantore is completely bald, it's always going to look like he has more facial hair than he really does. Well, that's just MY opinion.

On that note, I vote for Bettes.

Actually sounds interesting. Do you have an instruction sheet or any link to a page that tells you how to do it?

New England had their fun, but models are pointing to another winter storm, this time for the Northern Plains. Still a while out, but if the models continue similar runs, the Dakotas and Minnesota could be getting their first big snowfall of the year. Not as much as New England, I'm guessing, but still a respectable amount.

Light rain in the region.

In other news, a rare fire tornado was reported in Langdon. Picture below. Pretty cool, eh? :P
