Severe thunderstorms likely tonight, with the main band hitting Grand Forks around 10-11 PM. An isolated tornado and wind threat is possible, but the main hazard will be very large hail, with some stones up to 3 inches possible tonight. I will try to get some video and photos of the aftermath tonight.

70 and overcast. Showers in the vicinity.

I was hoping to fly tomorrow evening, but this TAF forecast kinda eliminated that.

Mac, just a reminder, but you might wanna move those images to an image-hosting website because those will update.

Anyways, that was surely fast! And we're only 12.5 days away from Hurricane season!

I intended for those to update so the latest information would be there when someone clicks on the thread. And yes, Patrick is right. Maximum forecast winds are 50 mph.

Here's a fairly good map. When they refer to the eclipse, they mean the point at which the moon is covering the largest portion of the sun. It'll take roughly three hours for it to reach this point from the start time, and by the time it happens, the sun will have set on many of you in the East.

For those in the best viewing area, this is an example of what you'll be seeing. This happened in January 2011.

Seeing how last semester I had a suitemate who talked so much that I could barely keep myself from jumping out the window, being around someone who doesn't talk too much.

If you could only choose one matter to permanently resolve, would it be war or world hunger?

Since it's a Pacific storm, I'll hold off on making a topic, but we now have Tropical Depression 1-E in the Pacific. It's expected to be a weak tropical storm and nothing more.
