That invest in the Atlantic now has a near 100% chance of development, and we could very likely have Tropical Depression 3 or Tropical Storm Beryl.
I thought this would be TD1, because our first storm went right to Alberto, right?

Why I said 3, I have no idea. :P Sorry, TD 1.

Check the wind speed. Peachtree Airport is the only one in your area that is reporting 88 and winds from the N at 5.

There are several airports in the Atlanta area, however only 9 I know of produce METARs on a regular basis. I'd guess if it wasn't ATL, maybe he's getting something from Dobbins.

Ouch! That's one of those rare instances where I'm glad to be in ND.

Guess who found his missing passport 6 months after he paid the Department of State to get a new one. Congrats, guys. My fee has now become a generous contribution. Spend it wisely.

Double post, sorry. But, did the Atlantic Basin EVER get the memo that the hurricane season didn't start until June 1st? :P We now have a 40% chance of development there. It looks like something could form on Saturday.

Still not going to make a topic, but Hurricane Bud in the Pacific is about to become quite a headache for our pals down in Mexico. Here's the track.

Hurricane watches and tropical storm warnings are in effect.

Stupid Story of the Week

We had some strong thunderstorms tonight rolling through Grand Forks, and about 15 miles before they moved into town, our entire floor decided to go out and play rugby. That's when we had multiple reports of CG lightning strikes around town flooding into the NWS office just down the road. It got so bad the University Police were called to attempt to bring everyone off the rugby fields and back indoors. So far no one has returned.

There are videos going around suggesting Youtube is actually deleting accounts deemed "inactive." It's apparently part of their newest "Terms of Use." If you do find a video, beware because most of them are excessively profane.
