No idea where any one is, but let's do Pinellas. Don't ask about my reasoning. :P

Chocolate milk or chocolate pudding?

Interesting video. I am not in the least bit surprised that O'Reilly tried to turn this into a political issue near the end, though. Why he did that, I have no clue. This is clearly a bad management problem, not a political issue.

That's not the only thing I watch, but if I want some serious news, then CNN's website usually does the trick. If that fails, then Aljazeera gains my attention.

Minneapolis/St. Paul could face an elevated tornado threat this afternoon and evening - SPC has a 10% chance of tornadoes right over them.

I still use CNN's website quite a lot, but I never got into their TV network (except when Anderson Cooper is on). It used to be Fox for me before I just dropped them and all TV news networks altogether.

It's disturbing to here that, though. I feel like I'm turning to Colbert and Stewart a lot for at least the big stories. Granted, they are usually biased to one side and the story gets fogged up in their jokes, but still.

Future TS Carlotta looks to hit Mexico within the next few days as a hurricane if forecasts play out. This will be a system to keep an eye on.

74 and breezy. Storms are on the horizon tonight, and apparently someone at our local office is having a hard time forecasting tonight. From our local AFD:

Quote
CONVECTION CHANCES THROUGHOUT THE PERIOD...INCLUDING THE
POSSIBILITY OF SEVERE LATE TONIGHT...WILL BE THE PRIMARY FORECAST
HEADACHE FOR THE SHORT TERM.

Might as well point out how drastically things can change here temperature wise. Here is a comparison of the temperatures from Saturday to today.

Saturday's High: 93
Deviation From Normal: +18

Today's High (So Far): 62
Deviation From Normal: -13

Overall Temperature Change: -31
31 degree drop in highs over a 48 hour period. Rather impressive.

This high was hit at 10 AM today. It is now well after midday and our temperature has dropped to 54 with wind gusts to 40 mph.

It's getting cold again.  High of 61 should be reached by 9 or 10 AM before plunging to 51 or so by midday. Low tonight sits around 37, with wind gusts upwards of 50 mph.  :brr:

Banned because Tampa was hit directly by a hurricane in 1921 and in 1946, although it hasn't seen a hurricane landfall since then.

67 and Mostly Cloudy. After hitting 94 yesterday, our highs should sink to the low 60s as this cold front rolls through the area.
