69 and Mostly Cloudy, and it's already 1:00 PM. The NWS forecast of 77 for our high may be a little generous.

Well, I didn't expect this. Despite increasing signs of El Nino, NOAA revised its season predictions upwards.

We should have Gordon soon.

San Diego, since that's where I was born.

Walking down Michigan Avenue at 4 in the morning or walking down a shifty looking alleyway in the early afternoon?

Nighttime. Better light show.

Would you rather be in the Southern states in the summer time, or the Northern Plains in the winter time?

Live Extra provides archives of all events without any commentary, and it covers a wider variety of countries for all routines. It's really nice.

I'm not even going to grace that question with an answer because I'll be banned if I do. ...oh wait.

What did I just do to myself?

If Inception taught me anything, then no.

Ernesto has not strengthened as expected by NHC. I'm sure they are pulling hairs out right now in Miami.

People are nuts. That's all I can really say.

This got me really steamed, though. NASCAR should probably work on getting their fans to shelter more quickly when a storm moves through - or be ready especially when the forecast says thunderstorms likely. Ugh.

It just goes to show how difficult it can be to forecast intensity with these things. Landfall intensity went from a strong tropical storm to a strong Category 1. That's impressive.

Yes, minus Reed Timmer.

Do you get frustrated forecasting hurricanes?
