After the impressive winds today, winds will lighten up and skies will clear, which will allow for a perfect setup for a rapid cool down and the formation of frost. A Frost Advisory is in effect until 9 AM Thursday.

Lows the next two nights should also be on the chilly side, with temperatures in the upper 30s. A nice warm up is expected from a thermal ridge through Saturday before a significant trough moves through and brings another shot...and potentially long lasting...of cooler air. Highs should range from the upper 50s to low 60s beyond Saturday.

Looks like fall is here - cold enough to warrant a jacket but not enough to make it snow...yet.

71 and breezy. West winds at 25 mph gusts to 40 mph. Earlier gusts to 45 mph were recorded.

Because of the high winds and dry humidity, a Red Flag Warning remains in effect for the day. A Wind Advisory is also in effect.

UPDATE: Temperatures falling rapidly tonight, and with light winds and clear skies, frost is becoming likely. A Frost Advisory is in effect until tomorrow morning.

Today is the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. My thoughts go out to all of the families and victims. United we stand  :salute:

Second that. And anyone around the New York area, while we're at it, how is the new WTC complex looking? I've seen photos of WTC 1 and it looks stunning.  :o

76 with few clouds. Breezy conditions persist today and with low humidity across the region, the risk for wildfires is elevated today. Counties around us are under a Red Flag Warning...but for some reason, not our particular county.

Large MDT risk tomorrow across much of New England. It looks like one helluva squall line is going to go blowing through there.
