Hi, guys.
As a fun project, I am attempting to do a time-lapse of satellite imagery of the Atlantic Basin during the month of September and beyond. The project isn't finished yet, but here is a preview video of what I have. I'm still about a week behind. Enjoy!
NOTE: The first hurricane you see is Igor. Karl is starting to form just as the video ends.

No severe reports have been filed for NYC, and the tornado watch for the metro area has expired. Newark is still under the gun, however.

The entire NYC metro area is under a tornado watch until 6:00 PM EDT. We may see another Brooklyn tornado this afternoon.

Very cloudy and very moist. Not much more rain expected tonight, but that could change tomorrow. My hometown in SC, however, is getting HAMMERED with rain.

Matthew has now become a remnant low and will no longer be officially recognized by the National Weather Service, but it will still be monitered for the very small potential of redevelopment. There IS, however, a disturbance directly behind Matthew that has been given a 10% chance of development.

Doesn't look like its going to do much to the U.S. Forecast says it will become extratropical before hitting the Gulf. Sigh, I want something EXCITING to happen. Nicole, where ARE you?

Well, the sharp turn to the NE is still forecast, but it looks like the turn will be made a little late. Matthew is expected to become a hurricane before making landfall near Puerto Limpera, cross into the Yucatan, strengthen again, and then make another landfall as a hurricane as it turns N out towards the Gulf. Beyond that, we don't know what it will do.

I should have said that the weather will get down to those temperatures AFTER the weekend. The weekend is rainy and blistering hot.

I sympathize with Martin's suffering; I've probably broken the record for the most sneezes in a 12 hour period. It's supposed to be in the low to mid-90s until the weekend, until it drastically cools down into the low 80s to high 70s. At which point, I will be in HEAVEN.

Personally, I'd like it to hit as a weak storm, just so Tennessee and South Carolina (the two places I call home) can get some well-needed rain. And besides, I'm sick of this hot and dry weather we've had over the past several days.
