That probly explains why the reception is so fuzzy. I wonder if the WeatherSTAR 4000 is capible of outputing a digital OTA signal?Well, the 4000 of course can't, but it wouldn't matter anyway since there's an MPEG-2 8-VSB encoder that converts it and then sends it to the transmitter.
I really wish the Satellite LF would get more graphically advanced than several seemingly-GIF images with a fade transition.Yeah, they've been using the same one for many years. I think since 99. Not sure.
Cool beans. I was looking into TiVo when the cable digital conversion is done, but now I've thought more about going with a custom PC setup with HDTV stick since the only HDTV content I really need is already clear QAM HD locals.Yeah, it's pretty cool having pure digital channels, helps out when capturing, too.
Does anyone here live in an area where Comcast has gone all-digital? If so, do they pass the video on clear QAM signals? Here the Expanded-Basic tier is in the clear. Not sure on how long this is going to last.
while i have not decided on which satellite look i will take, during the course of the warmer months, i will have more time in the evening to put some ideas together and then work on them. working a full-time job that places a high amount of decision making and physical work does tire me out. during the course of the warmer months, the work becomes lighter and i will not have as much mental fatigue to work on projects of my own and i will be able to put this work together .. i do have a good idea of how i would like to tackle this addition, i just need the mental time to put it all together i thank all for understandingIf you need any help, let me know.
