My mom switched our cable provider from Armstrong to Verizon. I knew right away that we would have the Intellistar, which I hate. So I turned on TWC this morning to find out and sure enough, the 4000 is gone. Now I won't be able to record it anymore!! I'm disappointed, but at least we also have Weatherscan now!Nice to see you have FiOS. Too bad you lost the WeatherSTAR 4000. If you are talking about the nostalgic value of the 4000, then I'm with you on that one.
I swear, Time Warner has gone to crap...Indeed, my aunt who lives in Memphis, used to have Time Warner Cable. Now that head-end was bought by Comcast. Now I don't know what to think. I'm just lucky I have FiOS.
Even though I currently don't have HDTV, I can't wait for the IntelliStar 2 to be released to the majority of head-ends.Yep! Hopefully the beta process won't be too longAm I correct that the "post-transition" areas are Nashville and Murfreesboro? To me the post led me to believe that the new IStar2 boxes would be sent out but for some reason still show either Nashville or Murfreesboro.Usually post transition areas mean nodes and areas that had to wait to get certain HD channels while there were network upgrades done. It simply means a wider area will see those IS2s but they will only display those locations.
Thanks for the clarification Now we just play the waiting game I guess.
