Our first day of 90-degree heat was in March of this year. I expect the temperatures to just rise in the following months.

It looks really awesome! I loved the view of the tornado. So know we know TWC uses Ncam Technology for their AR presentations.

It could be that they are using VizRT Virtual studio, but I thought TWC used a heavily customized version of WSI's Max for their weather maps? Also I saw a video for WSI's new Max Reality Suite. It's basically an addition to WSI's Max suite that adds Augmented Reality elements into your weathercasts. Could it be that they're using a similar version of this? After all The Weather Company owns WSI.

IIRC, TWC Has used AR since the unveiling of The Lab. The Lab's floor "opens up" and shows a giant globe that then shows what ever weather event they choose to display. Also, the way The Lab's AR works, is that it uses the circular patterns on the floor as tracking points for the AR. (At least that's how I think it works, I did see a Vimeo Video on it.) Maybe that's how the AR view of a tornado was done?

I tried that, but when I move the package from the last location to the 4th slot, it completely disappears from the configuration menu in CINE. It must be a bug.

After the emulator runs the Boat And Beach forecast, it goes to a black screen and continues playing the music. Any help? Thanks!

« on: May 06, 2015, 12:27:45 PM »Interesting, I don't think I've ever heard that narration by Jim Cantore before, but I know Alan Jackson had one like that. Always makes me curious how it's decided when the narration changes, like why is it sometimes "Currently in our area..." and sometimes "Currently, the temperature is...under..."Ever since the WATT update in 2013, the IS2HD has never had a narration for Windy Conditions for some odd reason. Usually when Windy Conditions were reported on the LF, the IS2 would not play a narration or read the temp. The same cannot be said for the Cloudy/Windy Condtions, as there is a narration for that. Maybe during one of the minor updates TWC added this narration, but not a narration for Windy Conditions. It's very odd.
But I wonder why the sky conditions weren't narrated on the above clip?

It's been awfully stormy here in South Texas. We've been constantly pelted by thunderstorms and even severe thunderstorms. It's really getting annoying, and I can't wait to see the sun again.
