How did he get pancreatic cancer

As with most cancers, there's no cause. It just happens.
Which is really unfortunate :(.

My boss is REALLY lucky at work.  She found out she had cervical cancer in the beginning of December.  Luckily, to get the cancer out, they didn't have to dig much into the cervix to get the cancer out, so there is still hope she can have more kids.

My mom had a tumor in her appendix.

Well, at least a tumor there is easy to remove.  :D

I don't remember his name. Besides, there were a lot of nutcases there, back in those days.

LOL, wake up Gil. The place is STILL loaded with nutcases. Why do you think we're here instead of there? Hell, this site exists thanks to TWCC's nutcases.

Looks great to me!   B)

That's odd. Sucks that he has it though. Kinda like Gary Papa from WPVI, he has prostate cancer and it came back 3 times for him. He was actually bald on air, never saw him bald before. O_o
I've seen him bald for years now.... I've gotten used to it.

Also, cancer is basically abnormal growth of cells in which their key function is compromised because of this... at least that's what my bio teacher told me years ago...

There's a bit more to it than that, although your teacher was on the right track.

That's interesting. So his "side effects" are probably due to treatment.

More than likely, it would seem. At least one would hope so.

Here's my list of things I'll be tweaking on the site, correct me if I'm wrong on any of these or if I'm missing any...

1) expanding the table atleast 300 pixels...
2) possibly enlarging the font 1-2pt...
3) add the 3d text effects for "twc" and "today" that are present in the forum logo to the site logo
4) curve the fade in the site logo a bit...

I think that's all... I'll start working on it tomorrow :)

I can't wait for the next update. I was going to mention increasing the font size, too; I'm glad you thought of that. And, wow, I can't belive you're able to do everything this quickly. Thank you! :)

Its really not terribly difficult. He could probably have it done sooner if he wanted to.

He's definitely not "pumpin'" along. He had pancreatic cancer before, and had an operation - this was several years ago. I think it's back, though.
On December 16, 2008, Apple announced that marketing vice-president Philip Schiller would deliver the company's keynote address at the Macworld Conference and Expo 2009, again reviving questions about Jobs' health.[69] [70][71]
^ according to wikipedia...

Yeah I read that elsewhere on the net. You'd think that he'd be there. For him to decide not to appear, you would think he must not be doing too well.
My point exactly. What I'm wondering is just how serious it is. :ermm:

I just read that he had a procedure called the Whipple Procedure in order to remove the tumor from his pancreas. In this procedure, your digestive system is more or less completely rearranged. Amongst other things, one side effect is significant weight loss. This MIGHT explain Steve's appearance.
