I was going to (and may still) add a STAR database page to the site. The database is based on all the known STAR's out there. You can search a location and find out what STAR is there. I really do hope we can still do this update.

Well let's just say that when I came on this morning I found a thread posted by Kyle which was an advertisement of Gil's site. First of all, its not supposed to be an independent site of Gils. Its supposed to be part of this site, only its run off his server and not mine. Second, I did not authorize anyone to start a thread advertising their site. I originally banned Gil thinking that he must've been behind it somehow. But I then learned that Gil did not give Kyle permission to advertise his (err, our) new addition to the site. So obviously I had to let Gil back in.

Upon further investigation, I have reinstated Gil. It is my understanding that Gil did not authorize Kyle to advertise his site. Nor did Kyle have authorization from me to advertise an outside site. IOW, Kyle is in deep cow manure when I see him. The revocation of his administrative powers stands.

Just so you all know (because you'll all notice eventually), several things have taken place, and here is what they are: first, the big update will not be happening. Gil had promised that it would be a part of this site, but then late last night after I went to bed he and Kyle got in cahoots behind my back and posted a link to his new site. Which leads me to the other things that you'll notice. Gil has been banned indefinitely, and Kyle has lost his administrative rights, both as a result of last nights shanigans. Both have also lost my friendship and patronage to their respective websites. Kyle is still a member here, though I am strongly considering removing him as well. With him, it goes beyond simply foul play. He's violated the trust I instilled in him when I chose him to be a co-admin. All the one word posts and cussing in the world doesn't bother me as much as something like this. Kyle, I thought you were an intelligent person. Evidently Gil is smarter because he was able to manipulate someone twice his age into helping him.

I don't recall ever seeing the name of anyone in my family on the list. My father and I are both Gary, my mother is Joyce, and I have two brothers, Adam and Nick (or Nicholas). Never do I recall seeing any of those names.
