I hate Wal-Mart because (at least around here) the stores are cluttered with pallets of stuff to be stocked, at all times of day. Stock isn't supposed to be on the floor until the store is closed.

You took the words right out of my mouth Thunder. I was going to mention that I saw on TV earlier that Dean was projected to reach Cat 4.

I expect it to reach Cat 4 status as well. Storms like this that are well away from a very large mass of land usually get that strong.

Yup, especially when they go through the very warm waters of the Gulf.

Not much of a change really since the last advisory. The only difference is a drop of 4mb in pressure, which is actually a lower drop rate then was happening earlier.

Another update-as always seems to be the case with Gil something has gone wrong, and will take a week to fix. There's never a quick fix with Gil. And he's supposed to be super smart. Now my understanding is that Kyle is supposed to be trying to get things up and running (I just love it when other people are involved and haven't communicated with me), so basically I'm doomed at this point in time. I want to apologize ahead of time for any possible downtime come the 27th. I have this sneaking suspicion that we won't be ready (and that I'll be highly upset).

At this point, if anyone else can offer some assistance I will take it. I need to do whatever is quickest, and that IS NOT what I'm doing at this point.

Wow, the winds in Dean have really picked up! And the pressure took quite a dive too!  :ph34r:

The good news, though, is that it doesn't look like the U.S. mainland has much to worry about due to a high pressure area that's basically acting as a shield over the Eastern and southeastern parts of the country.

There is only one high school in my district, so none of my friends will be going to other schools
