TWC Today News / Re: What's in store for 2009?
« on: January 25, 2009, 12:08:27 PM »
You bumped this thread to ask if the picture was edited in Photoshop?

Friends, behold a prime example of an unnecessary bump.

Jesse, one question. It looks to me like you reverted the site back to how it used to be, with the text containing portion taking up a considerably smaller portion of the screen. Is there any way you can re-widen it, so that it takes up more space again?
It's actually the same exact size it was before... I didn't touch that portion... I'm comparing the two and they're the exact same width (708px)  try clearing your cache and reloading the site

if you're talking about the footer, that's a simple change I can do for you.

I guess your right, it hasn't changed. But I swear it initially looked like it had!  :D

General Discussion / Re: NBC Weather Plus Discussion

Interesting-a former WxPlus meteorologist, Samantha Davies, is doing the weather for WBAL tonight.
Well Baltimore is not too far from New Jersey

True, but its still unusal, given that I've never seen her before on WBAL, and that WBAL has a staff of 4 meteorologists of their own (would be five, but Neal Estano departed to WRGB).

Well I'm told the system works on IE 7, Firefox 3, Opera, and Safari... What exactly happens on IE 6? Does the hover come up? Does it not come up at all? Does it turn into one clusterf**k of a mess? I'm curious so I can work on the "workaround" for those users if I can't fix it and work on the new window.alert message for those users.

The menu itself looks fine, the hover jsut doesn't come up at all.

803
...and if you are still using IE6, you shouldn't be allowed to surf the Internet.
I don't particularly agree with that. Its my job to accomodate as many people as possible (and LOTS of people still use IE 6).

804
No go on IE6.  :(

Does anyone have any clue on what this might be? This is what I see on channel 122.
Looks like a seismometer...?

It's seismograph, not seismometer, isn't it?

He's as white as they come.  :P

I'm getting tired of this thread now. If arguing breaks out its getting locked, FYI.

807
Yep I can confirm that all is well in FF 3 and IE7.

Glad to see that things are coming along Jesse!  B)
