General Discussion / Re: Airport radar maps
« on: December 17, 2007, 11:49:55 PM »
Does anyone know where to find the airport radar maps.... the ones that are used for the 4000? I checked the NWS, but can't find it

Those were made by TWC especially for the LF. So, as the others have said, unless you have video of it, your pretty much SOL (**** outta luck  :P).  ;)
You could always check those radar update maps and satellite LFs from the early 90's. But I have yet to see them show the West.

And Krishnan, those codes I put were made up.

Again, those are TWC made products that your only gonna be able to see if you have them on tape, or find a video of them on the web or something.
There are a couple on TWC Classics, but none of them show the west.

And that's exactly what I said, You'd have to see them either on tape or on the web.

I would say that both of those words are a bit strong. I don't hate or dislike you, but you do have a tendency to be annoying sometimes.

Well I figured it this way: if they didn't start by tomorrow, that would mean less than a week of Christmas music, which is highly unlikely.

Currently hearing "March" by David Arkenstone.
are these new songs?
New as of the mid 1990s. :P

Yeah really. If you liked the LF music of the 90's, you can be assured a taste of it every Christmas.

If anything,I think IPB's method is wrong. You get a falsley inflated post count. If the posts are no longer there, why should they still be counted? I'll admit, I hate seeing my post count here drop due to removal of threads as much as any other webmaster, but I'd also much rather have a true count of the posts on the forum.

Also, IPB forum admins can always go into their admin panel and have the board do a recount, which would result in the correct post count.

That's odd. It usually requires more than simply power cycling (the tech term for unplugging and replugging your router) to cause it to pull a new IP address.
Yeah, it never did that before when I had to power cycle the router.

Regardless, I'm not sure where you heard that you necessarily had a static IP. Though the name Gil does come to mind.  :whistling:
I always thought my IP was static because it always stayed the same ever since I got Cable internet, until today.

IIRC, I had the same issue when I had cable internet. 90% of the time I had the same IP, but on a few rare occasions it would change for some reason that I could never figure out. Genrally speaking though, cable IP's are indeed static. Of course, you can manually get a new IP with any type of broadband internet just by right clicking the network icon in your lower right hand taskbar and clicking Repair.

No, I do like it. The comment just had nothing to do with the topic that was being discussed at that moment.
