Hosting is relatively inexpensive for personal hosting (which is the level of hosting you would need since your not a business or anything). Generally speaking, you can usually find hosting for between $10-$20 per month. As for what hosting service to choose, the big thing to consider is depndability. After all, no one wants to visit a site or forum that is constantly down. I know that from personal experience.  :P

Anywho, I have Hostgo, and as you all can tell its relatively dependable. That I know of there haven't been any downtime episodes or anything like that. I would recommend Hostgo, but of course there's a web full of hosting services you can check out. I would advise staying away from GoDaddy. I've been told of some unpleaseant things about them.
What's wrong with GoDaddy and how much did you pay for your host Gary?

I don't recall the exact details of what's wrong with Godaddy. I pay $15 a month with HostGo.

Stephen, that's another reason I got HostGo-Matt has them too. This way you all can't complain that my site goes down more than his. It doesn't.  :P

Right, TWC gets the music from the artists, then if they have BMI, TWC licenses them there.

No, they have nothing at all to do with BMI.

And no, TWC doesn't make any money.

That's a different story then. Not liking it and not having it are two very different things.  :sunglasses:

Does it cost money to run a forum? I like to host a new site/forum which is not TWc related, and want to have a genuine quality to it. Not a crappy cheap forum. Can someone help me?

The forum itself does not cost anything, but hosting does.

alright, let's settle some rumors shall we?

No, TWC DOES NOT get their music from BMI in any way. They get their music directly from the artists, who consequently happen to be members of BMI. Secondly, BMI does not retitle the songs. The artists do that.
