General Discussion / Re: 8.8 Earthquake Hits Chile
« on: March 02, 2010, 04:11:43 PM »
You know what amazes me most about this earthquake? It was so strong that it actually changed the rotation speed of the planet, making our day shorter by 1.26 milliseconds!  :o

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Is cable TV going downhill?
« on: March 02, 2010, 04:04:12 PM »
Nick At Nite's current lineup is terrible IMO. There's not a single show that's even worth watching when nothing else is on, let alone every night.

Agreed. Whose idea was it that George Lopez and Malcolm in the Middle belong on Nick at Nite in the first place? The shows aren't old or classic in any way, at least as far as I'm concerned...even Home Improvement was more fitting...at least it was from a different decade! LOL.

TWC Today News / Re: Guest Posting
« on: March 02, 2010, 03:55:00 PM »
We know from the past that playing monkey see monkey do isn't always good. Just because Matt decides something is good for his forum doesn't necessarily mean its good for this one too. As long as this is working out ok I'm in favor. But the problem is that it puts a big burden on the admin team, because you have to watch guest posts like a hawk to make sure all stays well. We all know there are alot of idiots in the TWC fan community (think Felipe).  :D

BTWm why exactly is it that every time Matt does something everyone wants us to do it too? I never could figure that out.

TWC Today News / Re: New Addition To The Administration
« on: March 02, 2010, 03:48:32 PM »
I know I don't get a chance to pop up here too often these days, but removing me from my admin position? I think that's a little harsh lol.  :bleh:

Anyway, my real reason for posting here is to congratulate Patrick. I think Martin made a very wise choice in making you an admin. Welcome to the team!  B)

Hi all! Long time no see! And wow has the forum changed (and grown!) since I was last here! Hope everyone's been doing well. I've been great myself. My life has changed a bit once again, and it looks like I'm gonna have some time to spend at TWCT once again!

I'm glad to see the forum doing so well, and I look forward to being a part of it again!  B)

And to those who don't know me, I'm Gary. I'm the original owner and founder of the site and the original admin of the forum. I stepped away awhile ago because I just didn't have time to spend here. I handed things over to Martin, and he and his staff seem to be doing an excellent job if I might say so.  Good work you guys! Keep it up!  :)

Hey Gary!!!! Missed ya buddy! Nice to see you are well. :)

Yep I remember KB. There were 3 or 4 of them within 5 minutes of where I live. I've been in KB many times. It was sad to see them go.

Wow, this forum seems pretty dead...or is it just me?  :o

Wow, I hadn't heard about this. RIP Mr. Batten.  :(

Anyone think this might explain his sudden decision to sell off all his assets? Maybe he'd been ill or something and knew he was coming to the end of his life...

TWC Today News / Re: Website Content Staff Wanted
« on: August 12, 2009, 10:21:59 AM »
I'd throw my name in the hat too, only this is exactly the reason why I handed the site over to you in the first place. Its been so long since my last update to the site that I don't even remember when it was!  :P

Anyway, it looks like you have plenty of volunteers. And like Jesse, I'd be glad to offer assistance to whomever gets the job if they need it.  B)

Weatherscan Discussion / Re: WeatherScan songs

I know I'm a few days late replying to this but...they used just the first CD in the XL days of WxScan. They didn't use 2 or 3 until the IS upgrade.

Wow, I forgot I posted this. The issue did resolve the day after I posted this. Don't know when though. Would've liked to catch a glimpse of the restart, if that's what they had to do.

Ana, I'm glad to hear that your team is starting to heat up now, and it's good that the sun saved your phone.  I've hardly seen the sun lately thanks to the following news:  The NWS just confirmed that July 2009 is the wettest July ever in Albany's history with 9.91".  The previous record was 9.37" from 1871, and rainfall records have been kept here since 1826!

* Anistorm throws a ball of sun to phw115wvwx

I wouldn't try to catch that if I were you Patrick.  :P :D

I;m going to stop anything from happening before it happens-I don't want to see a single word about BRANDASHQ5's Youtube issues. As I've always said, what happens on another site is the business of THAT site, not any of ours.

I've always liked the Geico commercials. They used to have one a few years back where a squirrel crosses the road in front of an oncoming car, causing him to crash, then once on the other side of the road the squirrel high fives another squirrel that was waiting for him. Funniest Geico commercial I've ever seen.

About that song in those recent Geico commercials...did you know that the song was originally sung by a group called Rockwell and Michael Jackson back in the 80's? Yep.

So...I see we have a new member this morning by the name of bjbarnett. I actually thought at first that it was Bill Barnett, the former administrator of the TWCMB. But it's not him.  :P
