Programming and Graphics / Re: Major schedule changes on the way
« on: February 14, 2009, 08:52:04 PM »
I think now would be a good time to throw a little reminder out. We are an extremely small segment of TWC's viewership. Our likes and dislikes around here are not necessarily representative of the bigger picture. Those who go throwing statements out about this or that show being the most popular, or this or that OCM being most popular, or any other such statement ought to take that into consideration (or at least back up what they say).

I see some long ones, but nothing that I feel is excessive.

TWC Today News / Re: Topic Title Issue

I've noticed an issue, and its really starting to annoy me. When you post a reply in a thread, please DO NOT change the topic title. This is not only annoying, but utterly confusing as well. aside from that, there's just no need to do it.

Thanks for your cooperation!  B)

I didn't even know you could do such a thing. Can anyone change the topic title or just the person who started the topic? :dunno:

Anyone can.

I don't understand this at all. We could be worrying about other things more important than this bull.
Wow... He's simply just asking that when you reply to a thread, don't modify the subject line. I've only done that, I think twice, since I joined. Whoops. lol

I never even noticed when you did it. But lately it seems that there are a few people who have been doing it constantly, so I thought it was worth bringing attention to.

Part of the Windows installation process is formatting the hard drive, so I seriously doubt its got any connection to the prior installation of Windows. Right click the My Computer icon (either on your desktop or in your start menu, depending on where you put it) and click Properties. Click the Hardware Tab, then click the Device Manager button. Verify that all hardware is installed properly (i.e. no yellow exclamation or question marks). If all is well, open a browser and attempt to access your router or modem. To do this, you typically type something like 192.168.2.1 into your address bar. It varies, so you'll have to read the manual for your hardware. If you can access the router, cross that off as the problem. If your ISP requires any software to be installed, verify that it is.
Slight addition to Gary's advice: Your router is typically one of the following: 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, 192.168.100.1, 10.0.1.1...

I think better advice is to read the owners manual rather than have us count off every possible IP.

IMO, teaching contraception to a bunch of horny teenagers is the equivalent of telling them to feel free to bang at will as long as they use a condom.
Quote of the week, right there.

LOL, I think I'm gonna put it in my sig.  :P

I don't currently own any old computers (except my Mac), but I just got rid of a Commodore Amgia 600, and have owned an Amiga 500, and a 2000. I also had a Commodore 64, but that was many moons ago. I also once owned a real old Apple II computer.

That's alright, it doesn't look like I'm gonna have one anyway.  :bleh:

And, and you're just a yackass

Seriously, I didn't even think where to put it.  For the time being I'm just going to keep everything and if anyone wants something I will send it to them.

LOL, I was wondering how long it would take for someone to use that against me.  :bleh:

In general, I agree that there's no such thing as real, true love at that age. When your that age you just want to get with someone because their hot. You have no emotional connection, nor do you look for qualities other than looks in a guy/gal. Until you look at guys/gals for who they are, and not what they look like, you cannot fall in love.

Kyle, I said both at that age and still haven't had sex OR drink or do drugs.  :D
