OCMs & Personalities / Re: Jim Cantore

LOL, yeah Jesse's right. A woman can kiss a man on the cheek, and vice versa, as simply a friendly gesture and nothing more. In some cultures its done as a greeting, like a handshake.

Well, the deed is done. The first wave of the digital transition is over. Now we wait till June for the rest to be complete.  :whistling:

There are ligaments and tendons in the knee which may have been injured. You should definitely have the knee looked at. It could need surgical repair.

I have two. First I have an RCA Opal 8GB Mp3/Video player. I recently got (for free!) a 2nd gen iPod Nano 8GB.

General Discussion / Digital Transition
« on: February 17, 2009, 01:02:13 PM »
As we all know, today was the originally scheduled day for the digital transition. Even though it no longer is, some stations are still going to cut the analog signal anyway. Which stations in your market are still going ahead with the transition?

In mine, WBFF (Fox 45), WNUV (CW Baltimore, WBFF's sister), and WBOC (CBS, Salisbury)all will be switching tonight. All other stations have adopted the June 12 switchover date.

TWC Today News / Re: Site News
« on: February 17, 2009, 08:04:44 AM »
I've made a couple of small changes to the forum, having to do with a couple of boards that weren't terribly popular. I have not deleted anything though. I've made the TWC Artist Chat board a subforum of the Local Forecast board, instead of having it as its own board. I've also taken the Severe Weather and Other Weather Discussion boards and combined them into one general weather chat board. The Local obs board remains unchanged.

Programming and Graphics / Re: Major schedule changes on the way

Yeah pretty much.
Out of all the shows they should axe, it should be day planner, and pm edition.

keep Abrams and Bettes, and Evening Edition.

so yeah basically 2003 again, except with Abrams and Bettes.
do people not understand the rating system?!  <_<
I don't even think it's that

I don't think people understand viewers.  Just because you like the show, does not mean the other 80 million+ viewers like it.  I think Gary just recently mentioned that earlier in this thread, or in another one.  People have to understand that we are a small percentage...VERY SMALL percentage, of all TWC viewers.

I don't know why they'd change Evening Edition.  But, we'll just have to wait and see what these changed will bring.

In fact, I DID just mention that. Problem is, with most people it goes in one ear and right out the other.

As Tyler said, check their website. All hotels list these details on their site.

They're BLOWING OUT the evening for Weather Center! YEAH, let's do THAT!

Update: TV Guide is showing the PM Edition Weekend change for March 1. Expect tomorrow to hold those big changes too.

You don't listen too well, do you?
I meant that we'd see more of the changes in the listings the next day, not that they were going into effect that day.

What you don't seem to get is that that schedule is extremely unreliable this far out.
