A new profile field has been added-WxSTAR version. As at TWCC, simply input which version of WxSTAR you have. This will show in your profile, just as it does at TWCC.

The upgrade to SMF 2.0 is now complete, and was a success!

There are lots of new things to be had with this version, so feel free to ask questions!

The long awaited 2.0 release of SMF is now available, and as such I will be installing it tomorrow morning (too late tonight  :P ). Therefore, the board may be down at times during the morning hours. Please bear with us if any downtime does occur. Also, as this is a new version of the forum software, with MANY new features, myself and both of my co-admins will need some time to learn everything. Again, bear with us.

Finally, this is a BETA version. Therefore, errors and problems may occur. If you experience any problems, please PM me immediately and let me know. Problems more than likely WILL occur. But again, bear with us.

Should any major problem come up that will keep the board down for an extended time, I will do my best to somehow communicate that information to everyone.

Thank you all in advance for your patience and cooperation. Feel free to post any comments or questions you may have.

Not harder, more complex. I'm beyond HTML.

You may be, but your users may not be. And your users are what you have to worry about, not you.

General Discussion / Re: Have A Website?
« on: March 18, 2008, 07:54:04 PM »
I don't have loads of web design experience, and I'd say that my site came out alright. I did have help with some things, but alot of it is my own work.

And I don't shell out loads of money either. Just $6.95 to host the site, and $35 a year for the domain.
Holy crap, you're getting majorly ripped off with the $35 a year/domain. GoDaddy only charges $7 a year per domain.

Don;t like GoDaddy.

I think I had those numbers wrong. I think it's 6.95 a month for hositng and 11.25 a year for the domain.
Maybe. But there are tons of places that have domain prices between $7-15 a year.

Yes, like the place I went with.  :P

PHP is good with database stuffs. Javascript is good for tons of things. ASP is good for server-side purposes.

Maybe you didn't understand what I was getting at. What do you have in mind that you need those languages for? I know what their purpose is.
Pretty much everything that i stated above.

Stick with HTML. The simpler the better.
