I hope you're not going to restore a database... we'll lose quite a bit of posts...

Well, if I can find a recent enough backup I am. The most recent one I have is from September. That won't do. If Stephen has something more recent (or Kyle), like say from the last couple months, then yes I do plan to restore the database. I realize we'll lose some posts (and believe me, even the thought makes me unhappy), but so much is messed up that it really is the best option right now.

The mod has already been chmodded. That should not be the problem. But if Stephen thinks it is, I'll gladly chmod it again.
Well what is the specific error that keeps coming up when you try to edit the file?

I didn't try to edit it. Stephen did.
Ok.

Stephen, what is the exact error that keeps coming up when you try to edit the file? I figured we would try to tackle the problem and see if we can resolve it before you guys have to take drastic measures...

I'm not just restoring the database because we can't change a little modification. That would be rather dumb. The main reasons I'm doing it are that half the administration area is inaccessible since the update, and because I can't for the life of me get the Aeva (Youtube imbedding) mod to work. The errors are in the php files, so unless you know php its gonna be hard for you to help very much.

So...do any of my co-admins perhaps have a backup of the forum that's relatively recent? The most recent one I have is from September, which means we'd lose a good bit if I were to use that one. The board was supposed to do a backup when I upgraded, but I'll be damned if I see any such backup.
I have a backup from before the upgrade...

Is it relatively recent (as in, moreso than the backup I have)? If so, please post it.

Yep, I just installed that little mod today. I announced it earlier, but there's been so many posts in this thread this evening that that particular post is probably buried by now.  :D

Good news! The date registered mod is back! Turns out, I just had to install the latest version, since the version already installed was not compatible with the new forum version.

It's got that damn typo in "Registered" again...

LOL, yeah apparently the genius that made the mod doesn't know how to spell.

I think Stephen tweaked it the last time. So he'll have to be the one to do it again, if he'd be kind enough to.

Awesome!  B) I hope to see the youtube and join date mods back on the forums soon....

The YouTube mod is still here. But it got screwed up when I updated to the latest version of the forum software, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to unscrew it.

As for the join date mod, I'll have to look into that. Not sure what's up with it.

Added a couple of mods to the forum. First, there is now a field in your profile for your GTalk address, for those who use it (by request of number1twcfan). I also installed a mod that shows your member # in the profile to the left of each post. It's just like the member # field on an IPB forum.  B)
