TWC Today News / Re: The Great TWC Today Design Off!!!

I don't want to do that. I just want one site for all. Having two sites is far more work than I want.

Gil, I was trying to explain that concept to YOU when you asked us for advice on how to build a site.

Everything Else TWC / NBC, CBS seen placing bids in Second Round
« on: April 29, 2008, 03:39:25 PM »
According to a report from Reuters NBC and CBS are now being seen as the two top bidders for TWC. IN fact, it now seems that they may be the only two companies to place bids for TWC in the second round of bidding, scheduled for May 8th. Article here:

Didn't we agree to keep our noses out of each other's business when it comes to how we run our forums? I KNOW I did.  :hmm:

Sorry, I saw this...

...and thought it was okay to ask a question.

I guess I assumed our agreement superseded anything I may post here on the forum. Guess not?

I'm guessing not, since the option wasn't checked until I checked it last night. AFAIK, activation was instant. You had access the second you registered.

I've seen it a few times, but yeah, it doesn't come around nearly as often as the Google and Yahoo spiders do.

TWC Today News / New Registration Process
« on: April 28, 2008, 11:00:49 PM »
As you all surely know we have begun to have problems with human spammers registering and posting garbage on the forum. The good news is that both were from foreign countries. The bad news, however, is that as a result I have had to change the registration procedure. From now on new members will be sent an e-mail which contains a link they must click in order to activate their account. The theory is that this will stop bots in their tracks, and will hopefully cause human spammers to go elsewhere, not wanting to deal with a complicated process.

This thread will remain unlocked, so questions and comments are welcome.

Thank you for your cooperation.

FYI, my unknown action was deleting Mr. Spammer's account.

Also FYI, these spammers were humans, not bots.  ;)
I know that, I was talking about Al. I've only seen admins with "Nothing, or nothing you can see"

I know. I was just letting you all know that I had deleted his account.  :sunglasses:
