TWC Artist Chat / Re: Robert Geresti is here!
« on: May 19, 2008, 09:19:00 PM »
Cd baby has 22 of my albums and yes Vic that is your clip that I put on there. I put Song For John, Days End and Run With The Wind all on their respective albums. Just go to www.cdbaby.com/all/gerestimusic and they should have them all. I plan on putting a link on my website for this forum also.

That would be super Bob! I can put a link to your site on this one if you'd like.

Thats because ABC is lower on the spectrum, and thus has a weaker signal, as I mentioned in my post above.

You see, Seinfeld is like the NY Yankees you either love them or totally hate them.
That must be why. I can't stand the Yankees. :P

LOL, me neither.  :twothumbs:

Yes... and I LOVE it. We're saving upwards of $50/month over Comcast... the boxes run so much smoother, faster, and the DVR is MUCH quieter. Also, I really like the interactive guide. It, as well as the channel #s, will take getting used to, but overall, it was an excellent idea to switch.

The install took about 2.5 hours, not bad. We had 3 boxes installed, 1 of which is a DVR. With Comcast, we had 1 DVR and 1 normal STB.. however with FiOS, all TVs must have a box. But, we're saving a lot of money, so that really doesn't matter.

Any other FiOS customers here have good (or bad) stories to share?

Do you have any idea if FiOS cable is available in Hayward, CA?

He lives in Pennsylvania. How would he know what's available in California?

I am probably asking the wrong person. Sorry
LOL, yeah I think so.  :twothumbs:

Sorry but I don't consider myself weird because of that.

And again, you said it not once but twice. Made it very hard to believe you weren't being serious.

Considering you said it not once but twice, you seemed absolutley serious to me. Serious or not, I didn't find any humor in it. I guess it would have to come from a person who has room to joke about us being weird.

You'd meet me in a heartbeat. :P
lmao, yeah. You're like the only one here who isn't weird. :P gotta love that sense of humor too. :D

Who the hell are you to judge whose weird?

The problem is that both of those channel ranges have the weakest signal. The slightest thing could cause great degradation (or total loss) of these channels. A damaged cable line, for example, would cause alot of fuzz to occur. Radio Shack carries a product called a Cable TV Amplifier, which strengthens the signals of these channels. I've used one and can tell you from experience that they work very well.

Is the person you're referring to is wxtracker93? I remember you saying he lives in Ventnor City area.

It would be interesting if I saw you in person, but I probably would never arrange to meet people on these forums (not to be offensive, you guys are great people).
No not wxtracker93. He's from Springfield.

I'm talking about someone else.

I know Matt and Chazz have met each other.

So did Gary and Tyler :P

We did?

The rumor is pure bunk. Whoever said it needs to get their head examined. Both CN8 and CSN are Comcast-produced networks. Comcast will not OK having their channels broadcast by another cable system.

4274
Those are exclusive to Comcast I believe.
My grandpa gets Comcast SportsNet Chicago with Dish and when he had DirecTv.

Yep you can get that on Dish and DirecTv, but not Fios.

I know it's like comparing apples to oranges, but look at what the Boston Red Sox did in '04 to reach the Series...they won four straight after being down 0-3...so it's not completely out of the picture.

Probably won't happen, though.

It's only happened twice in NHL history where the 1942 Maple Leafs and 1975 Islanders did it.

Meantime...

The Boston Celtics survive a playoff series that went to the limit (and I hate that fact!) and move on
to the Eastern Conference Finals after their 97-92 Game 7 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
They face the Detroit Pistons for the right to go to the NBA Finals.

That little factoid is why I said it wouldn't happen again. its very highly unlikely.
