There's a music video for Blues Travelers' "Run Around" where the singer is shown watching TWC.

I don't understand how you guys are surprised. Bill has spent many years covering the tropics.  :dunno:
Yes, he has.  But how often to you see him, not very.

I enjoy his reports from the field, and hope he does it more often.

Your missing my point. Until the last couple of years it was FREQUENT. VERY FREQUENT. So as a guy whose been there and done that more times than you can count on your hands and feet, how is it surprising to see him out in the field?

Everything Else TWC / Re: The Weather Channel | HD Discussion

TWC actually did a fine job covering the Chicago tornado threat tonight; we had three tornado warnings going at once, and they were often on top of it more than the local stations, who kept being forced to stop their weather updates in lieu of network programming.

Can't those local tv stations get sued by the FCC for not providing continuous severe weather coverage? One of our Chief Meteorologists said that their station can get sued by the FCC if they didn't show the tornado warning banner at the bottom of the screen because it's for the hearing impaired.

They have to show the warnings, but there's no law stating that a station has to break in with live coverage.

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Satellite Discussion
« on: August 05, 2008, 10:08:33 AM »
They both offer roughly the same things, so i really can't see what the benefit would be. ON the other hand, the last thing the cable/satellite TV industry needs is another big conglomo.  :hmm:

I've added a bunch of TWC videos tonight to Youtube, even some from 2002/2003!

Note: Not all may be processed yet.

Gary: I'll be in touch at some point about adding them to the site.

I certainly look forward to that Tyler!  :cool3:

We have three affected locations here, including one right down the street at White Marsh Mall. That one opened only about a year ago!

Why are they talking about Chicago weather all of a sudden when they are on tropical hype mode?

Because there are some VERY severe storms there right now.
