Oil dropped again today, finishing at $114.45. This is the lowest its been since May, and it still shows no signs of stopping.

Ugh. It seems that whenever a thunderstorm moves through, our Comcast internet goes down for nearly a day, no matter how strong the thunderstorm is. This didn't always happen before. maybe just once or twice a year when both the internet and TV were to be down. Now it seems its just the internet that goes down, and much more often than ever before. I think I want to switch to FiOS internet (but NOT the inconvenient FiOS TV), as Comcast would probably not understand what I am saying when I tell them my internet has been down a lot.

What's inconvenient about FiOS TV?

Heard back from TWN this morning:

Dear Heather,

Thank you for your e-mail and your feedback regarding our music selection.

I’m sure you can appreciate how difficult it is to select music that will appeal to a broad spectrum of people.  We receive so many requests for varying music selections that it is literally impossible to meet everyone’s needs.  Once again, thank you for your feedback and I will share your comments with the programming team.

We are currently looking into new music selections, but I’m not aware of the timelines for this music change.

My only response to that letter is: TWC's been doing it for 26 years without a problem. What makes it so much more difficult for TWN?

I second the notion that you should keep your job. You just need to balance work and school. Sounds difficult, but it really isn't. Those things your friends reminded you of are not reasons to quit your job. If you need to, tell your boss you need to cutback on your hours a little. Work a couple evenings a week or something, this way you also have a couple for studying and other school related stuff.

Maybe they just don't realize it? Could they think that's the music that's supposed to be playing?

I've been told that the HD feed is fine, so seeing as they had both feeds side by side, I don't see that being possible.

So let me get this straight. There's CLEARLY a problem. You hear it, I hear it, the entire TWC fan community hears it.  But the bozo's at TWC don't? Sorry to sound negative, but IMHO its totally unacceptable for there to be a problem and them to be totally oblivious of it.
