Unfortunately Gil, we can't control where you live, and its not fair that you bash DSL based on your situation. Most folks live within a reasonable distance form their CO. The only time distance is usually a factor is when your in a rural area.Well, my dad says we are far from the central office, so thats a no-go.
No problem!Here's what you do-plug the splitter into the phone jack. You will now have two phone jacks instead of one. Then, plug the DSL modem ONLY into one of those jacks, and plug your telephone cord w/the filter attached into the other jack. That's it! 8)Thanks!
Hopefully our internet problems are solved for good.Well, I jinxed it.![]()
It went down again tonight.
We removed it, and plugged the DSL line back in to the phone jack again, and the internet came back up. Tomorrow, we'll buy a splitter and try that to see if it'll work. Hopefully it does.
