According to the below article from Reuters, NBC and Time Warner are the current top bidders for TWC. It is projected that one of the two will be the winner.

According to a report from Reuters NBC and CBS are now being seen as the two top bidders for TWC. IN fact, it now seems that they may be the only two companies to place bids for TWC in the second round of bidding, scheduled for May 8th. Article here:

TWC Today News / New Registration Process

As you all surely know we have begun to have problems with human spammers registering and posting garbage on the forum. The good news is that both were from foreign countries. The bad news, however, is that as a result I have had to change the registration procedure. From now on new members will be sent an e-mail which contains a link they must click in order to activate their account. The theory is that this will stop bots in their tracks, and will hopefully cause human spammers to go elsewhere, not wanting to deal with a complicated process.

This thread will remain unlocked, so questions and comments are welcome.

First, before I explain this thread full credit for it goes to Tyler, as he originally came up with this idea. Unfortunatley Matt's new rule caused his thread to be closed over there.   

That said, this thread is for posting news stories. Like Tyler, I am a bit of a news junky, and this idea really turns me on. Everybody is welcome to participate. You can post news stories from your own local area, or stories on a national/world level. Whatever is important to you. Discussion of stories posted is also welcome.

TWC Today News / Can I be an admin?

Its a question I get more times than I can count. The answer is no. There are currently no admin positions open. If one becomes available I will make it known to anyone I am considering for the position. Until then, do not contact me. Doing so will assure you  won't get the position.
