Was Buffalo the brand that was pulled from the US market briefly? :hmm: cant remember which one it was

Yea it was, I wasn't aware of this...

From Wikipedia...
Quote
In late 2006, the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Research Organization (CSIRO) won a lawsuit against Buffalo Inc. under which it would receive a royalty for every WLAN product worldwide. [2] The lawsuits basis was that CSIRO was granted US patent 5487069 in 1996, which grants elements of 802.11a/g wireless technology that had become an industry standard.[3] In June of 2007, the federal court in Texas granted an injunction to prevent any more wireless products from shipping until a license agreement had been reached.[4]On September 19, 2008, the Federal Circuit ruled in Buffalo’s favor and has remanded this case to the district court ruling that the district court’s Summary Judgment was insufficient on the merits of obviousness of CSIRO’s patent. Therefore, this case will be tried again before the district court. In this connection Buffalo is hopeful that it will shortly be permitted to, once again, sell IEEE 802.11a and 802.11g compliant products in the United States.

It looks like only 802.11a and g products are the only ones they cant sell right now, however I see N products available.

My favorite brand is Buffalo. In two years I went through two Linksyses, a D-Link, and a Netgear. They all had the same 'dropping the connection, not allowing connection' problems. I've been using a Buffalo for years now and I've restarted it only a half-dozen times. Most of the time is wasn't even a problem with the router.

I don't agree with health care reform. I have a hard time putting any faith in anything the government does. Take Medicare for example, they deny twice as many claims as private insurance and most people on Medicare have to have some kind of supplemental insurance to cover what Medicare doesn't. If the government can't run Medicare how can we trust them to run the entire nations health care? Besides that, with a multi trillion dollar deficit right now I think spending another trillion plus dollars is not the right thing to do. We need to focus on bringing down the nations debt.

For most it will just be a hunk of metal that nobody can use. I purchased one previously from this seller.

Is there anything you CAN do with it since it doesn't have a data source?

Sold for $61. I was going to buy it but I don't know what I'd do with it.

Not really my thing either. Not much of a Basketball fan, I like Baseball and Football.

BTW, there is a Jr. up for sale on eBay, if anyone cares...

I don't own one but my friend bought one that he never used, I found it in his basement one day and borrowed it (that was months ago). This one is an older SD only box. One of these days I'll get a Solo. Anyway, I love it, I always have the news or something on while I'm at work, thankfully nobody cares :P

That's exactly my reason for not posting often. I work 45 hours / week plus go to school full time (15 credit hours this semester) and I just haven't had much interest in TWC lately. I sometime watch in the mornings but not often. I love talking with you guys since most of us have a lot in common to talk about aside from TWC.
