General Discussion / Re: What do you drive?
« on: August 24, 2010, 09:24:38 AM »
Do you like your Corolla? A friend of mine is thinking of getting one.

I drive a 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora, and I LOVE it!  It's got better features than my mom's 2002 Chrysler Sebring :P

Corolla is a decent car. Not frilly or anything but its a good car. I'll be trading it in probably sometime in the near future. They tend to keep good trade in values thankfully.

A friend of mine just got a 2010 Corolla not long ago and it's pretty nice, I was surprised at how much room was in the back seat, I'm a fairly big guy and I sat back there very comfortably.

I've been thinking about getting a new car for myself, I change cars as often as I change computers...  Although this time I'm trading in the soccer mom SUV for a sports car. It's either going to be an Audi S5... http://models.audiusa.com/s5-cabriolet
or a BMW M3... http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/content/vehicles/2011/m/m3coupe/default.aspx

I got the same thing but declined it. They say that they would pay you for this feature..not sure if its legit.

They do pay you, part of becoming a partner is that you get a cut of the ad revenue from your videos. However you can't have any copyrighted or non original videos on your profile if you are a partner.

My dad has had it for years and he loves it, I got it a few years after he did and I really liked it too but then I got a new car and I don't want to put the antenna on it and risk it rusting so I just use it at home.

Don't know if this has been posted before, if it has since it's got like millions of views and hits, I apologize.. Anyways.. This kid's has some serious issues... That's all I have to say..

There's 9 other videos of this nutcase on his rampages..

These are fake, he was on Tosh.0 a few weeks back and admitted they were fakes.

My dad was discharged from the military on a Friday the 13th (after being in Vietnam) so he's always regarded it as a good day. I personally haven't experienced anything bad on the 13th, in fact it's usually a very good day for me as well.

First off I'm going to say I hate most of you....  :bleh:

This is the speed at work... the only thing faster than this out here is if we were to get a dedicated line (eg T1) but that would cost about $700-$800 more per month.

I'll post my speed at home tonight....

Remember when Jesse and some of you were talking about job searching last month? Remember when I said I applied at McDonalds, even though I hated that place? I just got a call from them. And I have a job interview tomorrow @ 1. It's the one right across the street!!!!  :faint:

Good Luck Ana! I worked at McDonalds about 3 1/2 years ago. It's not as bad as it's made out to be. It's just crappy in the beginning before you get trained on how to do everything.

Hmm... has anyone seen Microsoft's Kinect thing? I want that so bad! But, does anybody know if it will work with the older 360's? ("Older" meaning after the slim one that was just released).

From the XBox website...  http://www.xbox.com/en-us/kinect

Quote
You are the controller
Kinect brings games and entertainment to life in extraordinary new ways – no controller required. Easy to use and instantly fun, Kinect (formerly known as “Project Natal”) gets everyone off the couch.  Want to join a friend in the fun?  Simply jump in.  And the best part is Kinect works with every Xbox 360®

I'm kind of interested in it, I just don't know if I'm ready to fork over $150 for it when I can get the whole Wii console for $199. It'll really depend on the games available for it.

Dang, I think I'm about ready to pass out. No more staying up til 4 AM for me.
Aww I LOVE all nighters :P

If I HAD to do an all-nighter, I could only do it once. The night part isn't bad, it's the next day that's just
Talk about it... I'd stay up until about 3 AM durring school days and i'd feel tired. Some days i'd be hyper during school. I think it's just what I do in the morning... if I ride my bike to school I am not loopy, but if I take the bus I am exhausted. Kinda funny how that works  But, I am an night owl for sure. I just need some other people to stay up and chat to me **cough** Zach **cough** :bleh:

The only time I stayed up for 48 hours was on December 23rd to December 24th. I wanted to just collapse when I walk... auctually that did happen. I was the new rug ;)

I pulled an all nighter just two days ago, waiting for iPhone 4. I got up Wed at about 6:45AM for work, went up to the Apple Store right after work, arrived there about 9PM and stayed up until about 10AM Thursday when I took a two hour nap, then went back to work. My legs still hurt...

Just found out from the Kyle master (aka Kyle Smith :P), that a 5.5 earthquake just happened a few min ago! I'm impressed to find that it's been felt by a large number of places, such as VT, NY, OH, MI and parts of Canada. The epicenter was in Ottawa.

Anyone in that area felt the shaking? Since I'm an earthquake veteran and I'm used to this, I'm pretty sure it would have been scary for those who felt it. lol

I didn't feel it, neither did my sister, but my local news is reporting some people around my area did. I probably would have noticed it if there wasn't hundreds of tons of presses running outside my office.

Geesh I feel old... I still have the iPod Video (2005) :P

That was the last regular iPod I had before getting an iPhone. I remember getting my first iPod in 2002, a 10GB one and it cost somewhere in the balpark of $400! I wish I still had it... http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/consumer_electronics/stats/ipod_2ndgen.html

But I don't think that the top 120 includes TWC HD

Dish's HD is usually another $10/mo but if you ask when ordering they will include it free for life.

I am NEVER buying another product from HP again.
I got my laptop back yesterday, but now it just randomly shuts off. Also the power light blinks whenever the laptop is plugged in, even if it's on or off. It's also now reporting "0% (plugged in, not charging)". This sucks, really.

I've voiced my displeasure with HP before on here but I'll say it again, I can't stand them... Every HP product I've known anyone to own had literally fallen apart in front of them. They make pure garbage.
