I called by our security system Saturday to come in to our office because the server room was reporting temps of around 130ºF!  Luckily our major servers were not damaged, they were smart enough to shut off.  :censored:

Ok, to open your computer you press down on the black "L" shaped thing on the back of the case and slide the cover off.

If your running XP you can get to the Application errors event manager by right clicking on "My Comptuer" and selecting "Manage" Then, there is a folder called "Event Viewer" expand that and look through the logs to see if anything about Vegas is in there... you might want to open it and let it freeze again so if there is an error it will be on top and you won't have to dig far.

I'm not really sure how to fix your Vegas problem, especially since it is not generating any error reports.

As far as opening your dell... what is the model number? All Dells are different, some have a latch you have to push down on and then slide the cover off, others have a button on the top and bottom that you have to push in and the computer slides open in the shape of a V.

This is really awful... to think that there are sick people that can do something like this to an innocent child.

I also live in Toledo... well a suburb (Waterville), so I've been watching the news unfold on the news.

I hope the sick criminal who did this never sees the light of day again!

I need some help if anyone wouldn't mind...I downloaded the Sony Vegas 9 trial. When I start it, I get the splash as normal. It gets all the way to "Initializing UI" and then it freezes.

I have 2 GB of RAM, with 1.2 GB free running Kodak EasyShare, Minefield, and Paint.NET running. Why is this happening?
I am not hugely technologically savy, but I think the answer to your problem lies in your question. How can you use your PC with only 1.2 GB of space? I used to have a PC a couple years back with a 10 GB hard drive and found it impossible to live with that. 1.2 GB is worth about a 20 minute TV tuner recording for me.

I think he meant he had 1.2GB of RAM free. Anywhoo, open Vegas, let it freeze, then check your event manager and see if it is logging any application errors.

There were two teachers that meant a lot to me in HS but I still see them both on a regular basis. The rest of my teachers I really don't care about.

Both Comcast and Cablevision are doing this, and I'm sure in conjunction with the DTV switch has people so confused. Stupid cable companies.  :club: :chair:

However that YouTube XL is pretty sweet!
