OCMs & Personalities / Re: Marshall Seese to retire in November

Certainly unexpected news, though he's had a good long run at TWC. Wonder who his replacement will be? My guess would be either Bill Keneely or Kevin Robinson.

*Kevin Robinson? I don't think so. He's nothing special.

*Bill Keneely? I bet they'll give him a long, serious look. He's got the experience, the presentation, and the charisma. But his weekend show with Kelly Cass is highly rated, and they've already tried to split their pairing with poor results.

*Carl Parker? Again, a versatile met with experience. The question is, how will he do in the mornings and what is his rapport with Heather?

*Nick Walker? Nick has years of experience presenting to a morning crowd. Again, how will he do with Heather?

I'd bet the race is between Carl, Bill and Nick. My money is on Bill getting the slot. I just don't think the other remaining male talent would fit on YWT (Rich, Dave, Jeff, Mike, Adam).

They were probably filling in on those days.

Mark Mancuso's relative disappearance is a big loss for TWC. He was never flashy, but always solid, and, like Rich Johnson, has a knack for giving you just enough science without being overwhelming.

I used to love to watch him Thur-Fri on Weather Ctr (usually paired with Kristin Dodd - if no fill-ins were needed) and on the weekends.

The best, though, was when he'd fill in for Kelly Cass on Day Planner on Thur-Fri. TWC had Kristin Dodd and Eboni Deon available as a female fill in on those days, but they'd usually pair Mark with Bill Keneely. Those two would put on a clinic on how to be a professional OCM. They were amazing together - two solid veterans, showing the newbies how to get it done. I remember watching them together in 05 or 06, just as TWC was hiring some pretty piss poor new talent and giving them prime slots (Kevin Robinson and Betty Davis, who both are still mediocre) or promoting other newer but not very good talent (see: Alexandra Steele) to prime-time. As I watched Mark and Bill work their shift together, I couldn't help but wonder why TWC didn't have them in better time slots.

It looks like you may be happy then.

Today we have Cheryl Lemke filling in for Jeff Morrow; she might wind up being the new Travel Analyst.

So...

After Bob Stokes burned through Melissa Barrington and Hillary Andrews as partners, he was paired up with Cheryl Lemke.

Then, Cheryl is banished to evening edition west coast weekend, probably the least desirable slot on the whole network (similar to Melissa and Hillary being banished to EEWC Weekday)

Suddenly after nearly two years solely on EEWC Weekend, and weeks after Hillary's settlement is revealed, Cheryl is suddenly appearing again in higher profile timeslots.

Methinks Cheryl was also sexually harassed, complained, got banished like the first two, kept her mouth shut on EEWC, and when Hillary's settlement was made public, she said something and got herself moved off the shift.
