I just got my current phone, a Blackberry Pearl flip, last summer and it's already getting old after all this competition with the Droids and iPhones. lol. My contract isn't up on this phone until next year so I'll probably wait to upgrade until then. By then the iPhone on Verizon should be out.
Don't hold your breath on that one... Rumor has it, AT&T and Apple may extend their exclusivity agreement.

I had dual feed coverage today with Adam Berg before the 6pm PME
Was the coverage that showed during the 3pm hour dual-feed?
If I recall, probably, seeing as how they followed the longform schedule and it was just Adam by himself and it was an untitled PM Edition show.

They hardly cover stuff on the west coast and seem to try to always avoid Florida. So I'm with you Matt on evening preemtions.

You're just figuring out how bias TWC is to certain areas? If this tornado outbreak last night had of been happening in Georgia and not over the MW, they wouldn't dare show long form programming.
I started realizing that when they didn't show my iWitness stuff, but I didn't want to discuss it until it became a fad around the forum. :hmm:
Probably because it always rains in Florida. It's nothing to get excited over.

After improving some things, I have completed my Weekend View Lower Thirds.

I used Hit The Road because I don't have Helvetica.
That... is a very bad color choice... is why

Out of question, does anybody know when there will be some updates to the Comcast DCT2000? When I ran the operator diagnostics, it said it was running the June 2005 Firmware (Or something like that)... I want something thats actually not to hideous to look at... if you know what I mean. And to think that Comcast HD is good... Look at Cox! lol
I have a feeling firmware updates have been out, but it's up to comcast if they want to put the time forth to pick a firmware release and customize it for a rollout.

Like they just said at the end of PM Edition, "Stay safe out there, we'll be back with you tomorrow"

It doesn't matter that there are 10 active tornado warnings. If it's on a weekend, TWC couldn't care less about it. As we all know, weather doesn't happen on weekends.

*I* can't wait for CableCard tuners for the PC...
They already exist, however, only for OEMs

Changing the subject of discussion.... This disturbs me quite a bit:

Programming and Graphics / Re: "Flick > Forecast"
« on: June 02, 2010, 10:05:59 AM »
I never liked "Flick and a Forecast". I just wish The Weather Channel would actually report the weather continously like they used to instead of playing the same episodes of Storm Stories and When Weather Changed History hours a day.

I'm being optimistic, but if this hurricane season turns out to be anything close to active as 2005 or 2004 like I believe it will be, we might see a lot of that put on the back burner. I'm hoping we'll get that side of TWC back, they were always at their best doing hurricane coverage.
I am ready for a storm alert!

Flick and a Forecast is the ultimate Jump the Shark Moment for TWC. I just read on AOL that a lot of people, including Jim Cantore, are upset about TWC seemingly concerned about entertainment nowadays.  Dish Network treatened to remove TWC from their programming because actual weather has become an afterthought. I wonder if Gilligan's Island is going to show on TWC next, since it is "weather-related", though that would be kind of fun  :P.  I sure hope not, but it would not shock me to see TWC continue to air F&F on Friday, while a hurricane or tropical storm is affecting the US.
Hurricane coverage trumps all... It's the best time for TWC to get and brag their big multimillion viewer ratings, upwards of almost 56 million people tuned in at one point or another, not necessarily all at the same time...

Anyone know if there is any possibility of a Star coming to U-Verse.
Did you not read this entire thread? Nothing's changed.

Wow... they changed the tropical update intro again, and holy crap it's dramatic... and they do have new title bars for named storms, you'd have to go back in your recordings to the advisories for Agatha to see them, as I don't have them readily accessible. I'm noticing through WUWA, the blue bar at the end of segments before going to commercial break isn't sliding down anymore, it just stays on screen until they cut to the ad, but it seems to be only on WUWA
