I didn't know Weekend Outlook was still a show. That's definitely NOT a blooper.
ratings and $$$Confirmed there are no other cuts as of now. Same situation as what happened with Lyons. They didn't "fire" him but didn't reup his contractWell, why didn't they simply renew his contract? That's what they should have done.
I was told that he knows where every place is in the country. So, Martin, you're right, he is "like a walking atlas."
This is ashamed.
The resident Firefox Guru has this to say... I tried it this weekend... a lot of my extensions don't work, that's to be expected. They redesigned a lot with it. Seeing as how they skipped the alpha stage and went RIGHT to beta, I would proceed to use Firefox 4.0 with caution. I will have more to say when I have time this weekend to play with it.I'm apparently wrong. Firefox 4.0 used to be Firefox 3.7... I am on it now, and will continue to play with it.
Can't they rehire the longtime/higher tenured OCMs if NBC realized they're firing or laying too many OCMs?Most probably wouldn't take their jobs back, and even if they did, they would rehire them at LOWER pay rates, which, again, is perfectly legal.
For what TWC is doing, I see this more of "firing" the old OCMs as opposed to "laying off." To me, NBC is discriminating the old OCMs because they are "too old" for their tastes. That, my friend, is discrimination. I would file a lawsuit if they were to do that to me.unfortunately, that cannot be proved to be the case. It is more feasable that they are laying off the more higher tenured employees as a cost cutting measure. That, my friends, is perfectly legal. Eboni Deon and Kristina Abernathy are not "old" as you're putting it out to be the reason for the layoffs, thus your point is not 100% accurate.
Is this the first time Paul has ever been a field reporter? I thought he was always in the studio.No.
Do these new OCMs start out by just giving a segment of a program, such as the WP. Otherwise, why would he be working at TWC if he was just giving the weekly planner? They all start out with doing the Weekly Planner, to get used to being in front of the camera at first.
Tomorrow begins my NWS career. Please wish me luck as I'll definitely be a little nervous on the first day!GOOD LUCK!!!!
Strange, there was a minor change to my IntelliStar today. Fort Dix on the radars and metro map have been replaced with "Joint Base MDL."My IntelliStar never had Fort Dix on the radar or Metro maps. McGuire AFB has never been on my radar. It is still on my metro maps though as "Mcguire AFB" (yes, the G is not capitalized).
EDIT: Apparently Fort Dix became part of the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst last October...

Jesse, did you notice any change with McGuire AFB on your IntelliStar?
