OCMs & Personalities / Re: Betty Davis - Departure
« on: August 01, 2010, 12:48:10 PM »
We should be remembering the good qualities and memories Betty gave us in this thread.
Like Betty's dance one day during a commercial break, lol.. She actually did it again yesterday during her goodbye. Made me laugh.

I remember when she "pulled a Stephanie Abrams" one time, by accidentally dropping her remote. (I know someone has a video of it, can't remember who atm).

Also, I liked Betty at the time when she worked with Adam Berg back then during the weekends. They were great.
The one where she flung the remote at the video wall? I believe that one is on my youtube.

Has anyone heard that BP is considering acquiring into buying the name "Amoco" to rebrand themselves and start a clean slate after this whole Gulf Oil Spill Disaster. Some folks are mixed about the idea, what do you guys think?  :dunno:

It wasn't a voluntary one from the rumors I have heard. They gave her a goodbye at the end of Weekend View today.

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

It has been noted that Abrams and Bettes, ever since the start of YWT with A&B the first two weeks, will never be in the same studio again for more than a week at a time. The closest they have come is this week with four straight days, but Bettes just HAD to take off this morning... Discuss.

Mozilla Firefox 4.0 Beta 2 is live on the release servers, so it's pretty much ready to go!

Jim just announced that he has 2 special needs children.  I did not know that.
Yes, Fragile X. His spouse has special needs too IIRC.
Parkinson's, iirc

WeatherSTAR Tech Support / Re: IntelliSTAR radar issues

I don't see how there's anything really wrong here, nor do I really see that an average viewer would see anything wrong? I definitely see nothing wrong...

It would be beneficial for the STAR team if you posted when this started, explaining the problem, actually giving your STAR ID....

Local Forecast / Re: Basemap change .. ??
« on: July 21, 2010, 08:36:28 AM »
The topographical basemap on TITAN was changed on Monday. Last I checked, the precip forecast and thunderstorm forecast is coming from TITAN, and anything on the TITAN machines on air had their basemaps changed to a lighter map to see the radar better.

More special ed teachers are needed as the population with special needs is increasing.
This is correct. My old high school only had one for a couple of years, when I gradated. There used to be two, until my old Study Skills/Special Ed teacher had to becomes the Special Needs counselor as the original one had a mental breakdown or something from her son's death... I don't remember the whole story, tbh. They're cutting special ed programs, and I didn't have a Study Skills class, which I needed, so my English grades struggled/declined because of it.

Weatherscan Discussion / Re: Comcast Question
« on: July 18, 2010, 07:17:16 AM »
Well, I wanted to ask about adding another forecast product for Moorestown to my Camden Weatherscan because right now there are no city forecast products for our part of the county... I also wanted to ask about adding International. What am I supposed to do?
I don't see it necessary. The Weatherscan has Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester. Last I checked, Burlington was a mere 10 miles from Moorestown. What's wrong with that?

There was a time in the beginning when it was exclusive to Comcast, but that has since changed.
