Surely this must be a sign of the apocalypse.... They turned the lights on the maps back on at the little desk... How can I tell? They're brighter and I can read the labels on SD.

This year sure has flown by fast.  It's about ready to be October now.  The holidays will be here before you know it!
Don't walk in to a Home Depot <_< It's already Christmas there, lol.

The ranking is as follows:

Newbie - 0
Junior - 50
Full - 100

There are no current plans to change this.

Had the same problem here. Then when the whole "switching hosts" happened, it went away. Just yesterday it came back.  :hmm:
I honestly have no idea on how to fix it. Everything I've tried doesn't seem to help. I'm hoping the next SMF release has something fixed. I apologize that I am unable to fix this. :(

Here we go again! The SD/HD LDL were out for most of the 10:10AM CT segment. No problems with the LDL's that I saw from 6:30AM untill 10:10AM.  If you ask me, this doesn't look like an miscue I think something's a foot here.
The LDL cue issues continue... sometimes the small LDLs cue, then disappear two minutes later... then the large LDL comes up a minute later, disappears a minute later, then a minute later, both small LDLs come back... it's been doing this for the last two segments...

In Firefox, it looks like this:
http://ompldr.org/vNW9rYQ

Also, when I visit the logo image directly, I get this:

Wow...you have the really old version of the forums.

And I guess that means something is wrong with the logo. :hmm:
The logo on the old theme is broken, it's on my todo list to fix. Sorry about that.

Programming and Graphics / Re: Weather Proof: New Episodes Coming
« on: September 29, 2010, 07:40:30 PM »
According to a press release by TWC that was posted on TV By The Numbers webpage, it looks like it revealed what the new episodes of Weather Proof will be about. Stephanie will be back, and that one Newton guy as well.

Which means....... Steph will be gone every two weeks from now on.  <_<

Here are the list of the episodes and the excerpts (from the press release)

Quote
“Trapped” premieres Oct. 2 – Stephanie and Newton show us how to escape alive from an avalanche, burning house and submerged car. Weather Proof tests avalanche detection devices and fireproof suits while “trapped” in some of these most feared situations.

“Gimme Shelter” premieres Oct. 9 – Weather Proof tests various shelters to see how much they can endure from Mother Nature. Stephanie and Newton light things up to see what type of walls help protect houses from being engulfed in flames. The team goes camping during thunderstorms and flash floods to discover if tents stay dry, and brave freezing temperatures and frostbite to see how an igloo can help protect you from a snowstorm.

“Car vs. Road” premieres Oct. 16 – This ultimate road test puts cars up against flash floods, mudslides, black ice and fog. Discover what types of tires work best when battling these extreme weather elements, and learn about the dangers of driving in the fog and what safety precautions should be taken.

“Twister” premieres Oct. 23 – Weather Proof puts your car and roof to the test during a tornado. The team simulates tornado-type winds to see what happens while driving during a tornado and what types of roofs will best withstand a tornado. And is there a way to “blow up” a tornado? Newton gives it his best shot.

“Deluge” premieres Oct. 30 – In this episode, Weather Proof takes on Mother Nature’s worst water dangers. Find out what types of tires can help avoid hydroplaning in a thunderstorm. The team interviews tsunami experts to find better ways to protect coastlines.

Weather Proof premieres this Friday at 9 ET/6 PT
Saturday at 8, iirc from Steph's twitter.

Crystal Egger will be making her debut on Weather Center with Chris Warren () today.
I hope this is temporary, if not this must mean Alex is off WC for good.
or she could be on vaca or there could be a logical explanation... I will admit, though, that I haven't seen her in a while.

Local Forecast / Re: Weather Star XL Part Number
« on: September 29, 2010, 02:17:52 AM »
there are no part numbers.. its just a weatherstar xl, no reason to have a specific part number.

Are these numbers of any significance?:
(Also, could you tell me your XL's number with the barcode?)
http://api.ning.com/files/7ru5Iea7Zv5Eg7Q8iFOKbrAs6tlrzZqKYHS*6JcEq1xcWkOFWkt6bbgPDvD5JEAS/WeatherStarXL.JPG

Where did you get that image??

It was a google search. Keywords: weatherstar xl weather bug
Those, my dear Watson, look to be IP addresses, and possible server names, not part numbers. Those stickers are made by the IT department of wherever this building is, not by TWC themselves. If you're talking about the barcode with the TWC logo on it, I think that's a serial number to track the machines.

The dns servers my laptop uses haven't propgated as of yet, thus I am still getting to the old site. Once that eventually corrects itself in the next 12 hours or so, I will fix the logo. There are errors in the php coding due to the transfer, so bear with me please! It's high on my priority list. :-)
Apparently the new server is in the central time zone, thus the logo rotation was an hour off. This has now been fixed.
Speaking of the logo, have the times been updated to reflect TWC's new programming schedule?
The Monday through Thursday ones have. The Friday, Saturday, Sunday ones have not as I have yet to see a non-confusing schedule layout for it. Matt's schedule post is far too confusing for me to follow for those days, so I'll have to wait and see.

Hmm I still have topics populated there. Let me look into that!!
Seems to be working now. Thanks. :)

Edit: Something new I've noticed. There's something being added to certain URLs. It doesn't seem to cause any problems, but it defintely wasn't there before. For example, when you view new posts, it adds "wwwRedirect;" to the url. Any idea why?
I believe it's because we're using the www prefix now, and the forums want to make sure you have it there, in the event that you didn't before.
