It was brought to my attention tonight that one of our most recent new members is a 7 year old girl (yes, you read that right). Therefore, I need you all to help me out. See, ordinarily having such a young child here is something I'd be very uncomfortable with, perhaps to the point of not allowing it. But AFAIK this forum has no feature like IPB's were you can make registrants confirm their age, so my hands are kinda tied. So, from here on out I need everyone to refrain from using vulgarity of any sort. Since I can't very well l turn her away now, I have to do the next best thing which is to protect her from things she shouldn't see. I hope you guys understand this. This has always been a family oriented forum, so I suspect that this won't be too much to ask.You're not gonna reprimand an accidental slip up in language are you? And I don't think most people here talk about certain things (more towards PG-13+ stuff) anyway so all should be mostly good.
That said, the member I'm speaking of is sunlightreport. Many of us have dealt with her, and were frustrated by some of her posts. So now that we know the why behind her posts, please do me a favor and be patient. Remember, this is a child. Don't get mean with her, and don't be nasty. If you don't have the patience, then please don't say anything at all.

You're misunderstanding the DTV transition completely... Just because over the air channels are going digital, doesn't mean that cable company lineups will do the same. The all digital switch for cable companies, iirc, is not mandated until 2012... Anything 2-99 on a cable company's lineup is pretty much analog, and the downconverted digital over the air channels will still be analog on the lineup. Correct me if I'm wrong please, but I think I explained it properly.After 2/17/09, More free bandwidth from Analog channels = More room for NEW HD channels

As of today, my cable box's guide now says "NBC Plus" instead of "Weather Plus."So does mine... Mine's not by comcast though, it's done through Tribune Media Services...
