After 25.5 days of hibernation, ladies and gentlemen, I have returned with a new laptop in tow!

Nicole Posted on her status a few days ago that she was helping out at the National Hurricane Center for a few days... So I guess she is still in weather... Looks like she's been on constant vacations after leaving TWC though...She's still an active member of the air force/hurricane hunters, so I don't see her leaving it any time soon, unless something better comes along the way.
So maybe this is a browser/cache issue, because here is a run-down of what I am observing:I'm not seeing any of the Firefox 5 related errors...
Firefox 5
- In new (default) TWCT theme, BOTH quick-reply box AND regular reply box extend too far to the right.
- In old curve theme, ONLY the regular reply box extends too far to the right.
IE9
- In new (default) TWCT theme, ONLY the quick-reply box extends too far to the right.
- In old curve theme, EVERYTHING LOOKS FINE.
Chrome

Gosh, this is SO confusing.
From watching First Outlook today, it looks to me like they may have removed a section of the set immediately to the right of the FO desk. Are they slowly but surely revamping the design of the entire studio?
EDIT: After seeing a wider shot, it's actually a giant black rectangular box that stretches from floor to ceiling in front of the wall. The wall is still there. What could the giant black box be for?
Correct. I still don't get why they have to have the new permanent green screen stretch that far out, unless they plan to do wide shots or use it for "3D" effects, but yes, the former window backdrop/WUWA set is now defunct. Higher ups like how the high resolution graphics look a hell of a lot better on a green screen than on a blurry video wall. In the permanent setup, the lighted pillars have been turned off and they rotated one of the monitors around so they can see what they're looking at. I don't know if they're planning to do any more construction in the HD studio itself...So the WUWA set is gone? Forgive me, I don't watch WUWA.
That's what it's looking like. If you compare this picture with a temporary green-screen (posted by Jesse) with the one above, it looks like the new "3D green screen" shown above has replaced the entire set.
Anyone notice that tonight WCL seems a lot better? They've actually cut down the news content and put in weather! Nice to see 4 OCM's with Chris, Crystal, Kim, and Paul for a change!Don't expect that to last.
They're back in the HD studio for the second half of Day Planner today. I wonder if construction is finally complete.Highly doubt it. Sometimes, they take breaks.
Comcast made themselves look worse with the "Xfinity" branding. Every week I have some kind of issues with their crappy DTAs that still don't get all the channels I once had with analog (i.e. Weatherscan, truTV). They really should ditch the DTAs and go back to analog. Sure it uses more bandwidth, but who cares, it's a lot more simple and convenient. At least analog cable doesn't frequently pixelate or have its weekly "service unavailable" crap. And please, ADD MORE CHANNELS TO QAM!I hate to break it to you, unfortunately, but it may have to do with the strength of the signal coming from your cable line... If you have excessive splits going through the line leading to your DTA, your signal's not going to be strong enough to grab some of your channels. The DTA only displays the "service unavailable" screen only if it cannot lock on to a signal for the specified channel. I would have Comcast out to look at your line or remove the excessive splits. Your choice.
The people I talk to over the phone seem to have no idea what I'm saying to them either when I ask them about QAM or their crappy DTAs.
That video showed that the middle video wall panel wasn't turned on... I hope it didn't die...again....Running from Jim Cantore
TWC Behind the Scenes
Thanks! I love seeing behind the scenes. You can definitely tell they have to be on the ball when on live television.
What part of the GFC is this?I think that may be the news room wall, if I recall...
Is the Memorial Day banner going to come down? It's been down for days...
Travis, Travis, Travis.... you really need to do something different with your hair, lol... the wet look is really doing you no justice... but it's a nice picture
Any one notice Bettes said A*s on YWT this AM? He said that the mayor of Joplin said "This tornado hasn't kicked our A*s. We are going to grow back!"Ass and Hell aren't considered bad words by the FCC anymore, plus used in the right context isn't bad, and it was definitely used in the proper context.
