It's a great show, great premise, but needs a lot of help with execution.

 - Way too freaking dramatic.  I realize this is about life and death situations, but it's just tests.  Needs a different announcer (maybe Adam Berg...if ol' Dave Schwartz was still there he'd be a tremendous fit) to lighten the mood a little.
 - Needs a second host.  Mike Bettes would be the logical choice but kinda seems like overexposure for both.  And that second host needs to cover the other topic...last night had "wind" and "water" and doing both the way they did it was kinda awkward.  Have one host do wind, one do water, and interweave them together during the show.
 - 4:3 safe, dammit.

Did like how they kinda followed the Mythbusters way...leave the biggest impact/bang for last as the OMGWOW!!!!

First TWC long-form I've watched from start to finish.  Will watch again.
I consider Newton as a secondary host but not a second host. I like the selection they used and that they chose him to be the fabricator. As long as they keep both Steph and Newton, I'll be happy.

They need to letterbox the program for SD viewers though because this is highly not 4:3 safe at all.

it was horrible for SD Viewers, production FAIL.
It was meant to be letterboxed but forgot to flip that switch, just like the first storm session last year.

Alright... Weather Proof isn't bad. They need to letterbox the program for SD viewers though because this is highly not 4:3 safe at all. Newton Wimer is the fabricator for this show while Steph hosts. It's essentially MythBusters for weather. lol

On another note, Adam was on with Betty this morning on 7 AM ET Weekend View.

Ah, an old PM Edition OCM reunion.

Are there any "set" OCMs to work Weekend View, or is it just whoever they can find now? :dunno:
Kelly's on vacation afaik... She should be back next week. August - November is the OCM vacation blackout so I'm surprised Kelly was able to pull it off, lol.

Martin can clarify but the stream is what set twc off.... The chat is still up and will remain up though. I heard him mention that he may put the stream of his weatherscan emulator up in its place... However I haven't heard anything about it since.

Again, the chat is still up... Other pages are in the process of being redone and reuploaded with no definite timeframe of when they'll be up. Again, it's Martin's discretion of when and how things will proceed.

As soon as an anti-virus I trust works is ported I'll purchase a copy. Symantec anti-virus corp was discontinued in favor of endpoint, which is the same as norton and I REFUSE to use a norton antivirus so now we wait.

The Mays family is not satisfied with the findings and may have an independent examiner examine the findings.

Well, I went to my school's Back to School Bash, IT WAS A DISASTER!!! They had 300-400 people in the gym which only has 12 rows of bleacher mes total, people were blocking the exits. My dad's sugar was dropping so we couldn't stay long, He got me right as I was talking to my friends. They had shirts for $15 and you had to get a shirt to get anything like food or drink. and all the halls were clogged! It was a wreck, i've seen spontaneous riots more organized than that.
Wouldn't it be better to do this in an outdoor stadium or large football field? That way, there are no fire hazard and it would probably be more organized.

Todd and Bill on Weather Center tonight... Heather was in on YWT today on a Thursday, meaning it's possible and likely she will be off at least one day this weekend.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Your Weather Today With Abrams and Bettes!
« on: August 06, 2009, 09:11:46 PM »
I have a question: Is Your Weather Today still called "Your Weather Today with Abrams and Bettes"?  :dunno:

I ask because the TV Guide on my TV used to call the show "Your Weather Today with Abrams and Bettes" but now just calls it "Your Weather Today." The guide is rarely accurate when it comes to show names and descriptions, however, so I thought I would check here.
Yes, it is still Your Weather Today with Abrams and Bettes. My guide still calls it that as well.

I checked my speed to be curious and this is the result

http://www.speedtest.net/result/533801819.png

It blows away the ISP average by 2/3rds on Download Speed 3/4ths on Upload speed which shocked me  :o
speed boost. It will not maintain that speed after a short while.

Local Forecast / Re: Satellite LF Sightings
« on: August 05, 2009, 10:28:44 AM »
Now they showed the Satellite LF at 10:08 during WUWA.
This is because the butcher job of a first segment ran overtime by almost a minute, so they decided to fix the timing by using a shorter LF and didn't bother cuing up the STARs.
