At least it wasn't a perpetual loop of a certain Rick Astley tune......

Local Forecast / Re: Trammell Sightings
« on: August 10, 2008, 01:00:13 AM »Yeah, I love the Trammell tunes, but it's really starting to get repetitive. Trammell nowadays is supposed to be "special". Seven days worth isn't that special.I have to agree. I like Trammell, but I wouldn't like 24/7 of just Trammell. It would be better if it was "mixed in" with other songs. 24/7 of just Trammell would get annoying after a while IMO.
His music is amazingly fitting for rainy days, for some reason.

Let's not give anyone else any weird ideas. You know, like using music from the game "Doom" in a LF.
Er...

That's probably the case with a few cable companies that still have the 4000.

....when I (half-jokingly) said the Jr. emulator should ship with Rick Astley's "Never gonna give you up"? Well, it seems that someone took that to heart.
Wow. Just... wow. I don't think I can look at a 4000 Emulator video the same way ever again.

Local Forecast / Warning Tone Frequency
« on: August 02, 2008, 10:57:41 PM »
I have determined that the warning tone is an approx. 585Hz Sawtooth tone that is roughly half a second long.
I had promised to do something like this a while back but never got around to doing it, until now. And no, this isn't a spambot thing.

I'm liking it! It's become a miniature LF segment!

......as I exclaim "Spy sapping my weather map!" every time I manage to mess up something on the map, and watch as no one gets the reference.

The worst part is that I saw that double entrede being used in a most literal manner at some bar on one of those "caught on tape" shows.

My IS always lags behind a few seconds when it's cued to do something, whether it's to display the LF or the radio/newspaper affiliates.
